That's the way it should be. Good job! You don't take your job seriously enough to fail to show up in order to participate in a "Day Off For Immigrants", then you shouldn't have been given the job to begin with.

These companies are not supposed to be hiring illegal aliens!

Well I guess all the illegals don't come here for the farm work.

The reason I got involved in the movement to stop illegal immigration is soon after I'd moved to North Carolina, there was a boom in our town, a construction boom, late 90's, early 2000's. All the construction crews you would see on the sites and were happy to see underway were black and white construction workers. Then one day I saw a bus station open up in a vacant building that was a Mexican bus lines. I thought it was a tourist bus line. I thought how strange for a town our size. Then shortly after that I noticed all the construction sites had no black or white workers, they are all 100% hispanic crews. About that time I needed to change my driver's license so went down to DMV to do that, and the parking lot and DMV was full of non-English speaking Hispanics. They all walked out with driver's licenses, while I a citizen, whose family has been in this country since before the American Revolution, left empty-handed because I had to get an affidavit. I was furious. So I went on line to read the News Obsever and see if there was any news about his phenomena, and an article was in the News Observer about in-state tuition for illegal aliens. There was a forum button where you could post comments, so I clicked on that and made the first on-line post of my life. That is where William of ALIPAC was also posting and he reached out to me to join ALIPAC. That was almost 12 years ago.

No, they aren't here for the farming. This has been a planned, orchestrated, move by Democrats and yes some Republicans to allow foreign workers to take over our labor supply to legitimize an illegal drug trade. It's cost Americans trillions of dollars in needless government spending, millions and millions of Americans their jobs, hundreds of thousands of young Americans their seats in college, tens of thousands of Americans their lives, and threatened the sovereignty of the United States.

It's treason on the grandest scale in the history of the world by states and a national government against their own people.

Americans, we were punked!! Time to fix it and fix it fast.

My son works for a geotechnical engineering firm in Raleigh, N.C., and was tasked Thursday with the testing and inspection of a concrete pour for a mall being built in the western portion of the county. He showed up to perform his duties that morning at 7:30 a.m. and none of the crews were there. According to him the crews are mostly comprised of Hispanic laborers. Well, to make a long story short, he had to report back to the main office with assigned task uncompleted. The firm he works for was not notified by the contractor building the mall that their crew was not going to show up.

According to my son most of the constructions crews in the Wake County, N.C., area are full of Hispanics. I suspect most of them are here illegally. These are jobs that not too many years ago were held by Caucasian and African-American workers.

It's all throughout the state and yes, most of them are illegal Hispanics.

That's a myth lorrie. People who defend illegal immigration by saying that illegals only do the jobs that Americans don't want are full of ****. I'm in the trades, and I have seen very good paying careers, where you can support a family on, be hijacked by illegals here in Chicago, which caused the wages to plummet. The next time someone tells you that they only do the jobs that no one wants, know that they are full of ****. It's actually the other way around. They take the jobs that Americans want, and TURN THEM INTO jobs no one wants by making the wages for those jobs fall drastically because of the competition they create where crooked employers have a large illegal workforce to choose from.

Other companies fired them as well, they were not even smart enough to call out sick, they just were no call no show. Well most companies do not tolerate that from any employees. I think it so funny that they actually do not know why they got fired. What a bunch of idiots. I also love the fact that their protest was a bust, LOL

And they were good paying middle class jobs at $30 a $40 an hour.

Same thing with the meat packing companies that were paying there workers $75 hr. Now they are all illegal aliens being paid $10 hr.

In the residential construction industry in Wake County (NC), illegal aliens now are running their own companies, and some of these employ many people, including family members who were born in the U.S.. These young adults are able to legally have the company in their name, hiring more illegals and U.S. born children of illegals . I have family in the building industry and it is terrible what has happened here. These illegals make good money as well, on top of all the benefits they collect via their U.S. born kids.
