The man behind the video depicting a woman “breaking up” with Obama has released a second video, this one proposing an agenda for the GOP to run on.

John Jordan is a California winery owner and founder of Bold Agenda PAC. Jordan explains that he has sometimes been frustrated by “a paralyzed political leadership structure that cannot act.” He tells the Washington Post:
“Since Republicans are on the precipice of possibly winning a Senate majority there has not been an articulated governing vision of specific steps to meet Americans needs. I was waiting for Republican leadership to do it.”
When no such “specific steps” were formed, Jordan decided to launch the Bold Agenda PAC and this video, which highlights five points of the 11-point agenda he claims are “Bold, and Achievable for American Renewal.”
These common-sense steps are achievable with a modest amount of political leadership, and are popular across partisan lines. In developing this document, we polled Americans across the political spectrum.
The 11-point agenda:

  1. Tax reductions for companies who increase the amount of domestic workers.
  2. Give small businesses tax incentives to expand.
  3. Reduce tax rates for companies that establish Employee Profit Sharing Plans.
  4. Give tax credits to companies who provide health insurance.
  5. Cut Congress’ pay by 20% if a budget doesn’t pass both the House and Senate.
  6. Establish a Government Waste Commission to weed out wasteful spending.
  7. Make birth control available over-the-counter.
  8. Require that any law enforcement agency (including the IRS) obtain a warrant to obtain or record any communication beginning and ending in the United States.
  9. Secure our borders.
  10. Stop funding terrorism directly and indirectly through dependence on foreign oil.
  11. End Common Core.

By laying out a plan, Jordan tells the Wall Street Journal that he hopes to show the electorate that the GOP offers more than simply opposition to President Obama.
“I think we could have done a better job, in terms of laying it out, in terms of not just platitudes but specific ideas, specific agenda items that are achievable in the next Congress. I want to see Republicans compete in the battle of ideas and provide a hopeful alternative to the Obama agenda.”

Bold Agenda PAC’s website issues this challenge to the GOP, using a rationale that its opponents have consistently cited.
The Republican Party should rally to adopt them, and embrace a positive agenda that talks about the kind of ideas we should be for, instead of constantly harping on what we are against.

The ad, which began running on national television and online on Sunday, presents a new perspective on traditional politics from the outside, but will Republicans accept the agenda?
