Not all beds are made equal

Regarding "The making of America" (Editorial, Wednesday):

OK, so there are these two beds. On one bed, a legal immigrant is sleeping peacefully, secure in the knowledge that he obeyed the law and is a welcome member of his adopted country.

On the other, fighting for space, are five illegal immigrants. They toss and turn, worrying about how to obtain false documents, evade detection and find housing for their extended family due next week.

That's the bed I'm looking under. - Linda Snider,Gilbert
