Letter from Senator Burr, Concerning the DREAM Act.

I recieved a letter from Senator Burr of NC, in response to the letter I sent him , asking his stance on the DREAM Act. The DREAM Act would give illegal aliens the ability to get in-state tuition rates for college. As usual, Senator Burr tried to dance around the issue and said he would "monitor it closely". He said that Senator Oren Hatch, of Utah, originally sponsored the bill, which was shotdown and that if it was presented again, he would monitor it. It is my understanding that the DREAM Act wording, was inserted into the Senate's amnesty bill, so they could sneek it in. The House is considering the DREAM Act, in a separate bill. I also wrote Senator Dole, but have yet to hear from her.

    Burr is a backstabbing idiot

Burr is a coward hiding under his desk who originally supported Bush's stupid and treasonous amnesty nonsense until the crap hit the fan, and now Burr keeps his trap shut out of fear while issuing ambigous, meaningless, double speak position papers to his constituents. The very fact that Burr is NOT standing hard and firm on tight border controls and strict enforcement of immigration laws on his own, especially after 9/11, is enough to qualify this worthless phony for a one-way ticket back home.

Furthermore, the fact that Burr does not reject giving ILLEGAL aliens in-state tuition out of hand given the fact that NC voters overwhelmingly opposed this idiocy when state legislators tried to foist this garbage off on the backs of NC taxpayers many of whom cannot even afford to send their own children to our state universities much less acquire preferential tuition assistance, is for me his political death certificate. If that clueless dope cannot grasp the source of bitter anger and deep resentment coming from parents who are not even guaranteed getting their own children into the local colleges their taxes pay for, then this idiot belongs on the street, not in the US Senate.

I'm only sorry that a recall provision for US Senators does not exist, because I'd snatch this worthless creep out of office as fast as he got in. Unforunately, Richard Burr is hardly alone in his greed, cowardice, and disregard for the rule of law and the well being of his constituents.
