    Plea postponed in Union City child sexual assault case

    A Union City man charged with sexually assaulting a 2-year-old girl in a dollar store last week won’t enter a plea until January.

    Judge Dennis McLaughlin this morning reset the plea hearing for Eugene Ramos, 36, to Jan. 18.

    Also today, Ramos’ court-appointed attorney, J. Dominique Pinkney, withdrew the defendant’s request for bail.

    Pinkney wouldn’t comment after the brief hearing in the Fremont Hall of Justice.

    Ramos, who was arraigned last week and is being held without bail at Santa Rita Jail in Dublin, is charged with committing a forcible lewd act with a child younger than 14, assault with intent to commit a sex crime and attempted intercourse or sodomy with a child younger than 10.

    He also is charged with having a prior “strikeâ€

    His defense will be "it's our culture." Exactly why American citizens want them gone. He should have been deported after the first offense, but it appears our government doesn't want to protect American children at the expense of the illegal vote.
