Hey guys, Congress blocked voting on the issue of the soon-to-expire tax cuts and have stated that they MIGHT address the issue after the mid-term elections.
If so, this could actually occupy much of the lame-duck session and perhaps prevent any discussion on the Dream Act until next session.
Or, the Dems might try to attach the Dream Act to a bill that prolongs the tax cuts so that neither party fulfills its demands if its rejected in a bipartisan fashion--whether the Dems reject prolonging the tax cuts or Repubs reject it due to opposing amnesty.
But still, there's hope that it might be even more difficult to debate the dream act if the dems plan on addressing the issue of the tax cuts after the mid-term elections.
