This,................. is a good thing!
It's nearly half of the last two consecutive months, and it's not even close to the end yet! Bet a new record is set for this month alone.

I did notice that we have 99 new registrations just since we had the 5,000 mark celebration thread not too long ago!
I have also noticed our guests visiting us is up from about 60-80 a night to about 125 most of the time!
Yeah for us!!!!

I looked it up,
March 31st at 3pm we had 4995 registered
April 11th, 10 pm we have 5097
102 new registered users in only 12 days!!
now what does that say? I think it says that there are a lot of people out there concerned about securing the border!
Edited to add......make that 105...we are now at 5100!

There are three gauges of web traffic that our users can see.
1. You can see at the bottom of the main board page here, the number of registered users and unregistered visitors that have visited the Discussion Groups area in the last 5 minutes. Those numbers have been around 80-100+ lately
2. You can see in a box on the left of your screen, beneath Main Menu, a box that says "who's online" and these numbers reflect how many registered users and visitors are on our site as a whole (Discussion Groups, Stories Archive, Homepage, ALIPAC Action Panel, Surveys, etc...)
Those numbers have been over 1,000 for most of the last two days.
3. The best measure of our web traffic is in "hits" or "Page Views" which shows how many pages of our site have been viewed each hour, day, month, and year.
Registered users only, can view this data by clicking on the blue number in the box on the bottom left of your page titled "Site Traffic"
At the time of this post, that box reads
We received
38609974
page views since September 11 2004
This means that 38,609,974 views of pages have taken place since we started on 9/11/2004
If you click on the Blue number it will take you to the 'Access Statistics' which shows you some information about the type of web browsers and operating systems our users and guest use.
THE REAL MEAT AND POTATOES are found when you click on "[ View Detailed Statistics ] on this access page.
That takes you to the yearly, monthly, daily, and hourly web traffic charts for ALIPAC.
You can see that on April 10 and 11, we had over 100,000 pages viewed each day which is a very high level for us.
You can click on any blue Date, month, or year to zoom in our our past traffic levels.
Example: I just clicked on the year 2006 and the month of March for 2006.
The traffic levels for just one year ago were ranging around 30-50 thousand pages viewed per day.
When you click on March for 2007 70-100 thousand per day.
So, we can determine that our volume of traffic to our site has doubled since last year.
Now, keep in mind that all of the page views and visitors you see on the ALIPAC site are not human. Approximately 1/3 of our traffic comes from robotic software programs written by the search engines called "Spiders" or "Crawlers"
These programs move through websites and the internet scanning content for the search engines.
Sometimes, when we have high traffic levels it is because a major search engine Spider program from Google or Yahoo is scanning our site and this can last from a few hours to a few days.
Other times, our traffic grows because our press exposure is high and the press and blogs are talking about us.
Other times, something happens and the public goes to the web searching for information and answers and this leads to a big spike in traffic for us.
Two good examples are the first Minuteman operation. That shook the American consciousness and people ran to the net for info and ALIPAC was one of the first sites they found.
We broke a lot of records in April of 2005 and to this very day our hourly and daily web traffic records remain
Busiest Day: 23 April 2005 (130498 Hits)
Busiest Hour: 17:00 - 17:59 on April 23, 2005 (17041 Hits)
Another example was the marches on May 1, 2006.
May of 2006 was our old Monthly traffic record until we broke it just last month.
Shocked Americans turned on their TV's and were horrified by what they saw. Many went looking for answers and found ALIPAC.
Many of those fine folks are still here around us today.

This doen't surprise me. We have some of the brightest, most well-informed people who are members here. It's an honor being affiliated with such individuals. It's no wonder our boards attract so many. We are very well aware of things that are making the opposition very nervous. Maintaining our freedom and democracy are a couple of those things. Corruption in our government among other things must be constantly monitored by the people and this is the place where we can meet.
