I thought I'd seen it all in San Diego

Can you believe it?? There's a new mortuary in La Mesa, California (a suburb of San Diego) called "Funeraria Aztlan".
Calderon was absolutely right when he said...."Where there is a Mexican, there is Mexico".

My heart just goes out to the people in California. How did it ever get to this point? When did it go so wrong?

Here's some more info on the place. It has been there awhile.

    http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/feat ... amily.html

Here are some parts of the article:

In 1998, Rodriguez opened a funeral home in National City. He named it Funeraria Aztlan – after the ancestral home of the Mexica, Mexico's original inhabitants – "to make it appealing to the Hispanic community."

Three years later, after seeking a bigger, more attractive space, he moved the business and his home to La Mesa.
Interesting how they define the name eh?

Really, Jean? It's been there for awhile? I just noticed it. Guess I'm not very astute.

Please don't say you're not astute americangirl cause you are. Just thought it might make you feel a little better to find that mortuary has been here awhile. Some words easily trigger us, like aztlan, since we've seen how many illegals often use that word while claiming this land is theirs. Plus living here we easily can feel more and more of the multiculturalism and quite frankly it is scary in my opinion. Assimilation is the key.
