White House Watch to continue next week!

We must continue forward to win immigration reform!

The decision by President Obama to postpone the White House meeting with Congressional leaders to determine the future of immigration reform will not stop our planned campaign next week. Vigils and visits to congressinal and Senate offices around the country will continue next Monday, Tuesday and wednesday. Calls and emails and txts to the white house will be intensified. The Prayer vigil and procession to the white house in Washington D.C. on Wednesday June 17th will also continue. We must send a message to the white house and the democratic leadership that we continue to expect immigraiton reform to be introudced and passed THIS YEAR!

The National Interfaith Prayer Vigil will go on, as planned, at 2 p.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church in Lafayette Park followed by a procession the the White House at 3:45. Congressman and Senators who support immigrationreform this year are invited to attend and we ask that local groups extend that invitation to their congressman and Senators, especially to democratic leadership such as Pelosi, Lofgren, Melendez, etc.

The White House has said that they plan to reschedule the meeting in the next two weeks. On Wednesday will will announce that the campaign of prayer and witness will continue and ESCALATE each week, locally and in Washington D.C. untio that meeting happens!

Siempre Adelante (Always Forward) !
