Anyone catch Lou Dobbs on 60 Minutes?

I saw the segment tonight, and thought it to be really slanted againts Lou--no, not the MSM......The female interviewer (don't know her name) claimed that Dobbs was unfair in his reporting, that his job is not to present what he sees as the truth, but to be "fair and balenced." Dobbs says that the truth is what Americans want and deserve. But they made it look like Dobbs commonly reports inaccuracies on his show. For instance, they claimed that Dobbs' reporting of 7,000 new cases of Lesprosy in 3 years to be inaccurate. That the # is actually 7,000 cases in the last 30 years. However, I googled and found that the American Journal of Physicians and Surgeons back up Lou.

    Leprosy, Hansen’s
disease, was so rare inAmerica that in 40 years only 900 people were
afflicted. Suddenly, in the past three years America has more than
7,000 cases of leprosy. Leprosy now is endemic to northeastern
states because illegal aliens and other immigrants brought leprosy
from India, Brazil, the Caribbean, and Mexico.

It could be that 60 Minutes is playing with the #s. Since only 900 cases of Leprosy had occured in the previous 40 years, they may just be looking at the time period, fudge the #s a bit, and ignore that the surge has happened in the last 3 years.

They brought on that lawyer that was trying to discredit Lou on Geraldo yesterday. He was claiming the same--that Lou is unfair and inaccurate. He echoed the claim that the 7,000 in 3 years was wrong, and that we don't know if it happened from ilegals anyway. As if Mexico's immunization equals ours.......... There really seemed to be an inflamatory tone and charges of racism in the interview. Claiming "hispanic rights" groups accuse Lou of racism.....No mention that these "hispanic rights' groups are themselves blatant racists. She also used that typical stawman attack of the difficulty of "Deporting 12 million illegals." The reporter even seemed shocked that Lou says Bush is a bad president. She seemed to try to discredit him as a journalist on every level.

But we see through this hype. The MSM is carrying the bag for the government and the globalists. They are working very hard lately to try to discredit Dobbs. It makes him look all the more credible to me. And it is a shining example of the fact that the MSM is on the side of the enemy.
Serve Bush with his letter of resignation.

    BFR:

Answer: Yes. The reporter was Leslie Stahl. I thought it was slanted coverage too. But, hey, CBS is mainstream MSM so whaddaya expect?

Don't change a thing Lou, you're on the right track.

I too saw the segment, and I did found it be attacking Lou. Did anyone see how Leslie reacted when she learned that Lou worked in the fields side by side with migrant? :P It looked like someone slapped her face. lol

Also when Lou's wife stated that she agrees with Lou. I thought Leslie was going to pass out. Leslie trys to nab Lou, but Lou was hitting back. No doubt Lou conducted that interview great.

Yeah, that is the way they play head games with us.
It is slight of hand. Everything is relative to them.
    Both facts can be true.

Maybe from her starting point there were 7,000 cases in 30 years.
And at his starting point there were 7,000 cases in 3 years.
It just depends on which point you are trying to make.
If there had not been any leprosy in the first 27 years and all had occured in the final 3 years of her 30 year period, then they are both correct.
But one is more accurate then the other.
That is the rub. It is all about spin.

That is exactly what I think they did. If they were really to refute Lou's claim, why didn't they just look at the statistics that cover the last three years? That would pretty definitely refute the claim if Lou's # was off, but no........ They change the rules, play semantics, and confuse the issue and the viewers.

    Yes, it was slanted.

Yes, it seems the Main Stream Media hates anyone who is patriotic and will try to tear them down.

It's not about being "fair and balanced" it's about being an American.

Did not catch the 60 minutes show, hopefully "one old vet" will put it up on youtube, he usually does. Lou can hold his own when he is being questioned especially by people who do not know the facts. We need to see more of Lou Dobbs to wake up even more americans to what is going on in this country
