Duncan Hunter Makes A Good Point About being in Last Place
Dear Duncan Hunter Supporter,
You are cordially invited to attend The Duncan Hunter for President Online Fundraiser
DATE: November 1 - 30, 2007
TIME: Anytime
WHERE: Where ever you are
ATTIRE: After-midnight P.J.'s with Duncan Hunter Button, Duncan Hunter T-Shirt with Cut-offs, Duncan Hunter Cap, Sipping coffee from a Duncan Hunter coffee mug
NOTE: Our goal is to raise $250,000 but if the average donation is only $50 we will raise over $1.5 million dollars for the campaign. So dig deep, have a garage sale, turn off the lights a couple hours early every night, walk, ride your bike or take the bus and save the gas money, give up Starbucks for a month - do whatever you need to do to help the best candidate!
There are at last count over 30,000 online supporters of Duncan Hunter for President. Imagine if on Nov. 30th each supporter gave a mere $10. That's a huge $300,000 raised in a single day! Now imagine if that average gift was $25. That's right! $750,000 raised in 24 hours! But what if all of us as fellow patriots-who realize how critical this election is in the history and future of our republic-dug deep down and pulled together an average of $100. That's $3,000,000 in one solitary day! Everything changes then!
So many past presidents and nominees were in last place at this point, but managed to pull ahead at the last minute: Ford, Clinton, Truman, Lincoln, Carter, Kerry, and even our very own Ronald Reagan. This thing is very winnable! So mount up and let's kick-in!
Please send the amount you are pledging to pledge@gohunter2008.org. We'll send a weekly message letting you know how much has been pledged and of course we'll let you know the total amount raised shortly after Nov 30th.
All donations can be made at the link below. You have the option of waiting until Nov 30 to make your donation or you can make them at anytime during the month.

I'll be donating as well. I gave to Tancredo and I'll give to Hunter. They're both my candidates of choice and I wish they would consider running together as independents or rogue repubs or something? What one-two punch that would be.

This is also posted in the "Other Topics" forum. Ron Paul a post regarding his fund raising success in three different forums. IMHO, we really need to do a better job of consolidating the posts. Just my opinion for what it's worth.

I met Rep. Duncan Hunter for the first time in person at the first-ever Texas straw poll in Ft. Worth last September 1. We talked for a few moments. I told him I had been publicly protesting for Ramos and Compean for a month or so and giving out info on them so people would know the REAL truth about their case, which is that it is a TRAVESTY! Rep. Hunter commended me for caring about these unjustly imprisoned patriots, and reassured me that he and other deeply concerned members of Congress were doing EVERYTHING they could to help free Ramos and Compean from prison. He said that if elected President, one of his FIRST official acts would be to RELEASE Ramos and Compean if they were still incarcerated. He is a REAL man, a GOOD Christian, and a GREAT American, JUST what OUR country NEEDS! (we both know Mr. Joe Loya, father-in-law of Nacho Ramos, and Rep. Hunter says Mr. Loya is "one FINE guy!" NO argument THERE!)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A BILL
To vacate further proceedings in the prosecution of certain named persons.
Whereas the conviction and sentencing of United States Border Patrol Agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean for the pursuit and shooting of drug smuggler Osvaldo Aldrete-Davila which is the subject of a Federal criminal case in the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas represents an extreme injustice: Now, therefore,
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the `Congressional Pardon for Border Patrol Agents Ramos and Compean Act'.
SEC. 2. ORDER.
It is hereby ordered that the conviction and sentences of Border Patrol Agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean are vacated. The release of the defendants from the custody of the Government is hereby ordered, with prejudice. No further criminal prosecution or other proceeding against these named individuals with respect to the circumstances giving rise to the convictions and sentences vacated by this Act shall take place.
SEC. 3. SENSE OF CONGRESS.
It is the sense of Congress that the Department of Homeland Security review the rules of engagement presently utilized by the United States Border Patrol.
Of course Rep. Price (D-NC), my low-life Rep., didn't sign on as a cosponsor! I'm not surprised. I wonder why Rep. Paul didn't sign on as a cosponsor?"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing" ** Edmund Burke**

Anybody who watched the last Repub debate knows Hunter won that hands down, most of the other candidates stood there dumbfounded after Hunter's comments . I would like to see a Hunter/Tancredo Ticket, we would get our country back with them in the White House
