N.C. Community Colleges To Enroll Illegal Immigrants

RALEIGH, N.C. -- The State Board of Community Colleges has voted to allow illegal immigrants to enroll at North Carolina campuses starting next year.

The board voted Friday to approve the plan, allowing undocumented immigrants to attend the system's 58 campuses if they've graduated from a U.S. high school and pay out-of-state tuition. Lt. Gov. Walter Dalton was the only board member to vote against the plan. He did not explain his reasoning during the debate.

The policy committee's chairman, Stuart Fountain, says the children of parents who came into the country illegally shouldn't be punished for the federal government's failure to deal with their legal status.

Illegals can win admission to the campuses after April 1, 2010.

They are allowing NC to become a cesspool of crime/drug activity. If someone is illegal, they are %^%^$** illegal.. why the heck should my daughter have to sit next to one in class so that some huge corporations can make the pay scale go down for Americans?

What is just awful is these bimbos who seek to destroy the state, continue in their jobs. What is the matter with the people in this state? When will they wake up and clean house?

In the year 2000 NC was 9th in the country for illegal immigrant population.

Almost half a million strong and still growing, the number of illegal immigrants in North Carolina make the state the eighth largest in the country with the most illegal aliens.

The economic and social impact that they have on North Carolina is even more remarkable.

My point is you keep giving away the farm, you're going to get more and more looking for handouts. NC is already broke and I'm sure working on some type of tax increase for us to pay for the burden of their increasing illegal immigrant population. You can't help but wonder if these guys are getting paid under the table by some special interest group. Hmmmmmmm has NC opened an investigation into ACORN yet?
