Resident makes his point to Sen. Menendez

Sen. Robert Menendez (RN. J.) recently had the unmitigated gall to run television commercials in prime time posturing as a fighter against cuts in Medicare benefits for seniors while he and his left fringe loony congressional colleagues were gleefully cutting $500 billion out of Medicare advantage plans that seniors depend on for affordable health insurance coverage.

On top of that, Menendez and the rest of the loony Democrats keep fighting to not bar illegal immigrants from sneaking access to tax-supported health insurance offered in the various incarnations of the "public, consumer, singlepayer option" the Democrats are so infatuated with and are hell-bent to ram down the public's throats.

To clarify the senator's mind and the minds of his colleagues, I sent the following fax courtesy of Numbers USA and suggest that all New Jersey taxpaying legal voters do the same:

Sen. Robert Menendez, It is disappointing that so many representatives supported the pro-illegal alien, jobs-killing "Affordable Health Care for America Act." We trust that you and your colleagues in the Senate will not make the same mistake.

By tolerating the presence of the illegal horde of dependents accompanying the primary illegal squatters in our state(s), you and your lunatic left fringe colleagues are already burdening us, your taxpaying constituents, with a huge annual unfunded mandate (in excess of $2 billion in 2007 here in New Jersey).

This is unaffordable in any circumstance, but especially now when the national unemployment rate is at 10.3 percent and streaking higher. Adding the new unfunded mandates in the gargantuan health care legislation now coming up for a vote to proceed is irresponsible.

Stop pretending that you are "fighting to protect Medicare for seniors" — that is a blatant lie as our Medicare advantage premiums and co-pays for 2010 have already increased 60 percent and more in anticipation of the $500 billion proposed reduction in Medicare funding to help cook the books to show no deficit impact from the proposed monstrosity of a bill.

We seniors paid for our Medicare coverage over 40-plus years and are still paying. We are not about to let it be expropriated ("redistributed") to cover a bunch of illegal moochers draining the public safety net trough and usurping the access of legal needy residents to increasingly scarce support resources they are entitled to.

As one sign at the last tea party convocation in Washington, D.C., was saying, "You can shove it (the health bill) down our throats now — we will shove it up your (expletive deleted) come November 2010."

That goes for all Democrat incumbents in both houses who vote for this asinine legislation. And not Democrats only — any idiot Republican fellow traveler deserves the same treatment. You all may be too indolent to read the monster bill, but you should be able to read the polls — we don't want it and we cannot afford it.

We pay the taxes that let you all strut on stage and we will determine what is to be spent in our name and where to spend it. You cross us at your political peril, all of you.

We will deal with the semi-educated, functionally incompetent colonials in the current administration in 2012. Are you ready to join them (you only won by 9 percent in 2006)?

It's all equal opportunity bashing on issues, the principle being the deficit and overriding it all is the sovereignty of the people which you and your cohorts betray routinely in advocating for the illegals against the interests and rights of the rightful owners of this land.
