Only Chief Chamberlain has the guts to control immigration

NEW IPSWICH Police Chief W. Garrett Chamberlain is a local hero. Sure, the race-baiters will call him a racist, a Nazi, threaten him, or worse. It is that man's courage and dedication to this state that makes me proud to be from New Hampshire. His bravery on confronting the long-ignored and ridiculously lax immigration policy of this country is a breath of fresh air for the citizens who have been screaming for reform.

This is a person in a position of authority who has taken the fight to the courts. Even our President, his administration, the newly developed Department of Homeland Security, and all the whining, blowhard critics of the White House are blissfully ignoring Americans' plea to end the heinous invasion of illegals into this country.

All of these officials vowed to represent the American people and to serve and protect this great nation. All the promises and all the speeches they gave to uphold the sovereignty of this nation, and the only one brave enough to stand up and do what's right is a police chief in a small town in "Cow" Hampshire.

The constant pandering and political correctness has cost us the lives of park rangers, police officers, men, women and children. Illegals, not undocumented workers, have brought disease and poverty to this country while shipping our economy Western Union to their originating countries.

Illegals in gangs have spread far and wide. They even cost us the lives of 3,000 hard-working Americans. And since that day, the only thing that has been brought to our government's attention is ways to give these people more.

From driver's licenses to home loans to medical care, these criminals are destroying our country from the inside. California and other southern border states already feel the strain on their hospitals, schools and public services. Once those are forced to shut down, the next state will be forced to care for them until every state in the union is as dry as the desert these people crossed to get here.

We are innovative and inventive. This country builds machines to do what Americans don't want to do. Some of the toughest jobs used to carry the highest pay. No longer. We have several avenues for legal immigration. We're all immigrants, but at the very least, we got physicals and recorded our entry through legal documentation.

The Minuteman Project was a huge success and proved that the Capitol Hill rhetoric of border security being an uncontrollable beast was nothing more than what a beast leaves behind after a big meal. But, the Minutemen were made up of civilians. None of them had the authority to arrest, deport, even detain criminal aliens.

This one police chief has the authority. He swore to uphold the law and he's doing his job. While our beloved soldiers fight to give Iraqis and Afghans freedom and their own countries, one officer is here fighting to keep ours.

Chief Chamberlain, thank you. You are a blessing to all Americans and legal immigrants. You are also the perfect role model for the weak, vote-grabbing, citizen-ignoring, cowardly politicians that swore to do the job that you have volunteered to do on your own accord.
