A Letter to George Bush.

I am native charlottean with 4 teenagers.. I submitted this to Washington Post and Washington Times but it wasn’t printed in the letters to editor. I admit its poorly written and all over the place but..i cant put in words how saddened I am as to what happened to my city.. we are at a loss. This was the letter linked to MAY 8 ad in Wash. Last week yet another car ran through a red light at the intersection in front of my neighborhood. It was not through a yellow or but dead in the middle of the red light

Out of anger I tracked it down a block later and pulled in front of the car and said “what

at the hell are you doing? This light at Johnston, Park and Birnen is notorious for red lights being run but not like this.. He simply barreled thru it and was oblivious. He himself had whole family in there so he had something to lose as well. No one including the dad spoke English. I was livid. They had no idea what I was saying till I finally got him to say yes at my inquiry as to if he understood me.. I have 3 teenage drivers and if

there’s no way I will be able to rationalize it. I will feel as though our Governor Mr. Easley and Mr Bush are responsible for facilitating this... I took the plate and called the

cops . They asked me if I wanted a call back and follow-up. I said sure but never heard. Not even sure what

they could do. This was yet a drop in the bucket. You cannot find an individual in charlotte that hasn’t had or known someone close who hasn’t had an incident with an illegal alien whereupon their uninsured or uninsured policy didn’t kick in. Matter of Fact a policeman told me that when these happen their

skills in English seem to go away..and someone else pays the bills .



Several weeks ago I went to an area in Charlotte called South Blvd for the first time in many years. I was amazed how predominately Latino the area has become, and thats not even the 2 quadrants of town that are primarily Latino. I was at stop light on south Blvd and emerywood when

No less than 7 cars in a row came out of that street that appeared to be Latino . My point is that the estimates of 20 MIL in USA is absurd.. Is there anyone left down there? I see no stories from National or regional reporters talking about the decline in Population of Central America. Heck, even President Calderon said

in speech while laughing this week that he has “2 relatives illegally In USA and will only give there whereabouts when amnesty kicks inâ€

This is really sad. Thats why I get upset when I hear people say the wish California would break off and float away. What you are experiencing has been happening in CA for YEARS now. I tell those in other states, "Dont ignore whats going on in CA because VERY soon it will be in your back yard."

We just raised water in Charlotte 15% but we wont tax anyone affiliated with Immigration.

The water issue is going to be huge here and many other places. CA is officially in a drought now and we keep allowing millions more here illegally on top of all the building that is STILL going on despite a depressed economy. INSANE!

We all share your pain, we have been hit by non englsih speaking illegals twice now ,once in Little Havana'Miami'and once in Orlando,We will never vacation there again.

It was one of the worst mistakes we ever made. A lot of us voted for him twice and now regret it.

This is what really got me! My single 30 year old daughter was interviewing for a position in Charlotte NC and she was told that it was voted as one of the best towns in America to live in.
