    Call Repubs to Force Obama to suspend JONES ACT!!! Oil Spill

    This is really outragous! The Coast Guard has blocked 4 tankers from helping clean up the oil this is BIBLICAL, and they are blocking cleanup!

    The Repubs need to take the bullhorn to deal with this, because a hurricane will destroy the thousands of miles of environment with oil.

    This is insane, they need to WAVE THE JONES ACT ASAP!! Please call your congressman,

    There is no logical explanation why Obama did not suspend the Jones act on day1 when we had offers from so many countries to stop the damage in the Gulf! He is so crooked,that we are really screwed, between this and refusing to secure our borders,he is making a really bad situation ,impossible!

    Information about the Jones Act. Waiving it would allow for other nations to assist in the oil spill cleanup, etc. as strugglingcitizen commented. President Bush waived this in the Katrina disaster.

    Oh OK...Thanks ReggieMay for explaining that. Cant the Coast Guard help then? If it is just that we need more boats and people, dont we have them? And why are they not sending them? The Gulf is not that big....we cant send enough boats? I know the military is already there because they are helping to spray dispersants....so why not also send military ships and people?
