On Capitol Hill, CNSNews.com asked Representative Burgess, “The Congressional Budget Office has said that never before in the history of the United States has the federal government mandated that any one buy a specific good or service and, of course, the bill includes the individual mandate. Is there a part of the Constitution that you think gives Congress the authority to mandate individuals to purchase health insurance?â€

While I don't agree in forcing Americans to buy insurance, it seems we have already been forced into paying for automobile insurance years ago. What next, mortgage insurance, dental insurance, pet insurance? Looks like the insurance industry is in the back pocket of the US Government.

The law requires a guarantee of financial responsibility for damages you might cause others if you decide to take advantage of your priviledge to drive. That doesn't have to be an insurance policy. You can post a bond or free yourself and not drive. Your citizenship doesn't make you a subject of tyrants as does the "healthcare" mandate.
