‘All-Time Low’: The New Poll President Obama Is Not Going to Want to See

President Barack Obama’s approval rating has plummeted to an “all-time low,” according to a new NBC/Wall Street Journal poll released on Wednesday night.

The president’s approval rating stands at just 42 percent as problems with Obamacare and concerns over NSA spying persist. Meanwhile, 51 percent disapprove of his job in office, which ties his all-time high in that category.

“The NBC/WSJ pollsters argue that no single reason explains Obama’s lower poll standing,” NBC News’ Mark Murray writes. “Rather, they attribute it to the accumulation of setbacks since the summer — allegations of spying by the National Security Agency, the debate over Syria’s chemical weapons, the government shutdown and now intense scrutiny over the problems associated with the health care law’s federal website and its overall implementation.”

In another first, Obama’s personal ratings are “upside-down,” NBC News reports. Just 41 percent view him as favorable while 45 percent view him negatively, according to the poll.

Obamacare also saw a dip in popularity, with 47 percent saying its a “bad idea” and only 37 percent saying it’s a good idea.
