"Matricula Consular" is insulting and illegal

The Mexican consulates in the U.S. distribute "Matricula Consular Mexicana", as an ID for Mexican citizens to use it for identification purposes. In spite of the fact, that most countries accept a passport as a valid ID, the Mexican Government has instructed its citizens no to use it, because it would easily give away the inmigration status. I believe that foreign ID documents, should not be accepted in this country for identification purposes, since we aren't in Mexico, besides it gives the impression that the Mexican Consulates validates the illegal status of many of its citizens.

Matricula cards should be useless as ID since you need more proof of your identity to become a Girl Scout!!It is absolute BS that it is allowed at all!!!!! Suggested reading "Border Crosser" by Johnny Rico!

I disagree, Matricular cards should have a use.... identifying illegal aliens. If one has a Matricular identification card sounds like grounds enough to assume an illegal alien or an undesirable alien and deport in my book.

The Matricular cards are issued to legal Mexican inmigrantes too. The idea is to keep guessing who is illegal and who is not, since it replaces the passport as an ID document. Somehow, the illegals think they have the "right" not to tell their immigration status.

Call them all illegal in my book as the card should be seen as nothing more then an attempt at fraud w/o real identification and papers. Plus I'm a firm believer that when one immigrates they should be accepting they are leaving their old country behind to fully embrace the new country. Non of this back and forth crap as we don't need it. You can't have loyalty to 2 wives, you can't have loyalty to 2 kings, you can't have loyalty to 2 countries.

Don't need to believe it--loyalty to your new country is an oath you take.
