ALL: THANK YOU FOR YOUR PHONE CALLS! HB 978 passed out of committee yesterday! ( last night) 5-0!

The open borders lobby had a large number of speakers there either howling that immigration law enforcement was " racial profiling", "anti-immigrant" or "unconstitutional" It's not. WE WIN ONE! News story here.

There are two more bills in committee today, please see yesterday's alert and keep the calls coming, even if you have already called, call again PLEASE. I was in the Capitol until 6PM yesterday and will be there all day today - please forgive me for not returning emails!

Some of these are way past due in the whole country

What it does: Prohibits state agencies from requiring an employee to speak or take training in another language to land a job or get a promotion. Employers cannot favor those with language skills over those who speak only English.

Behind the scenes: Police departments would not be able to require survival Spanish classes from officers or use such classes as basis for promotion. Police agencies say officers need to interview crime victims, witnesses and criminals, and Spanish can help.

Now this is what is needed in CA.

I have some in Ga. working on getting up group to go to Cartersville tonight at 7pm. they only had a two hour notice so hope they can get there in time if they even go .

An absolute yes to this sir! It might affect signage as well. I can't tell you how many sights like this are around my town. Anyone know what 'expirada' means in the first picture? Ex-patriot? It doesn't google translate.
