Chronicling Obama’s destructive agenda

What is Barack Obama’s agenda? The year he was elected president, he said he wanted to “fundamentally transform America.” His wife went so far as to say, “We’re going to have to change our traditions, our history; we’re going to have to move into a different place as a nation.”
“Change our traditions”? What does that mean? I wish it were as innocent as the FLOTUS recommending margarine at Thanksgiving dinner instead of butter, but alas, I fear it’s much more dire than that. “Change our history”? Is that possible, Mrs. McFly?
I was always afraid of Obama. He came out of nowhere and got elected on the most vague premise ever: “hope and change.” I hoped he would, with such little experience, find himself so completely over his head that he wouldn’t be able to accomplish anything.
If only.
Maybe, I sort of half-hoped, he’s just incompetent – that’s why he keeps messing everything up. But what good has Obama ever done for America? Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while, but he has done no such thing.
How, if Obama’s failures were simply the result of mismanagement, could it be that each one of his policies so consistently damages American lives in one way or another, threatens the framework on which our country was founded, and chips away at the promising future of the USA?
What’s Obama’s agenda? Again, vaguely, to “transform” America. What does this mean?
Let’s take a look at what his administration has accomplished so far, and see what we can conclude:
Defense and National Security
Obama claimed al-Qaeda was “decimated” and “on the run.” Currently, this same group is capturing American equipment and taking over Baghdad. Critics are linking “the resurgence of extremist violence in Iraq…[with] the administration’s past foreign policy decisions, including its reluctance to arm moderate rebels in Syria and to not use military force in response to the Assad regime’s use of chemical weapons.”
Polls have shown a downturn in the president’s approval rating when it comes to his handling of foreign affairs, and it’s no wonder, with his disrespectful, barely-there, icy relations with the world’s most powerful leaders. His negligence resulted in the brutal murder of Ambassador Stevens and three fellow Americans. He broke the law so we could trade five terrorists from the Taliban to get back a deserter, terrorists who gleefully proclaim they plan to attack us again. And for all this he was the opposite of unapologetic.
Mackubin Thomas Owens of RealClearWorld sums up the worst of Obama’s foreign policy failures:

U.S. foreign policy is in shambles, characterized by drift and incoherence. It is at best a-strategic at worst anti-strategic, lacking any concept of how to apply limited resources to obtain our foreign policy goals because this administration has articulated no clear goals or objectives to be achieved. The foreign policy failures of the Obama Administration are legion: the Russian “reset” that has enabled Vladimir Putin to strut about as a latter-day czar; the betrayal of allies, especially in Central Europe, not to mention Israel; snatching defeat from the jaws of victory in Iraq by failing to achieve a status of forces agreement (SOFA) that would help to keep Iraq out of the Iranian orbit; the muddled approach to Afghanistan; our feckless policy-or lack of policy-regarding Iranian nuclear weapons, not to mention Libya and Benghazi, as well as Syria. President Obama has said that he was elected to end wars, not to start them, as if wars are fought for their own purpose. Ending wars is no virtue if the chance for success has been thrown away, as it was in Iraq.

Obama’s indifference and incompetence makes us vulnerable. His behavior risks the lives of our troops, and sets us up as a weak target for future attacks.
The Economy
Obama’s economy is so bad that even Hillary Clinton is worried about it. The president’s solutions for fixing the economy include raising the minimum wage so that companies can hire fewer employees, over-taxing top-earners so they are unable to grow the economy with their personal income, regulating business to such a degree that they can barely function, let alone make a profit, and ignoring the fact that unemployment numbers are down because so many people have stopped looking for work. (If fewer people are unemployed, how does the president account for the record number of food stamp recipients and the increase in the poverty rate?)
Education
Obama’s “education reform” touts more government control in a one-size fits all approach that rejects local say. Do you really want what your kids are taught in school to come from Obama or anyone in his administration?
Obama used an executive order to expand the “Pay as you Learn” student debt repayment plan which will give colleges “less incentive to keep their tuition affordable,” and give students “little reason to borrow responsibly if they can count on the government to sweep in and bail them out.”

Energy and Environment
Climate change, climate change, climate change. It’s John Kerry’s priority. “Harsh environmental rules,” as Donald Lambro put it, “…will kill jobs, raise energy costs, and impose new burdens on business.”
Remember the Keystone Pipeline? The administration is playing the “ignore it and it will go away” game while we get oil from foreign enemies and thousands of U.S. workers sit around waiting for an opportunity.
Healthcare
Obamacare, aside from infringing on our Constitutional rights and encouraging casual sex and keg stands, forces cancer patients to forego care. Our rates doubled and tripled. Some people lost coverage all-together.
The VA scandal was another disaster that led to the deterioration of human life. Obama’s appointee eventually resigned, but not after mucking up the corrupt system so terribly that decorated veterans and war heroes are being forced to suffer and die while they wait for the care they deserve.
Immigration
Obama and his administration thought it would be a good idea to give guns to Mexican drug cartels. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was killed by one of the American guns, and Eric Holder, whose brainchild was Operation Fast and Furious, didn’t even get a slap on the wrist.
Now we have real chaos on our borders as thousands of illegal aliens pour in and escape into our country. They receive government handouts, and in return, give us disease and crime. The administration’s failure to enforce immigration laws has led to an overwhelmed border patrol and an all-out immigration crisis.
The Military
Weley Pruden at the Washington Times put this better than I could, and so I quote:

Political correctness is always petty, often infuriating, and sometimes does no permanent harm. But occasionally it’s a threat to the nation’s security.
Paperclip generals, more politician than warrior, naturally take their cues from the White House, and it’s reasonable to assume that the pressure from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue was the prevailing pressure, intense and effective. President Obama bows low in the presence of Muslims, as we all know, and ordered effective cleansing of all references to Islamic terrorists.
John Brennan, the hero of Benghazi and the new director of the CIA, insists there is no such thing as an “Islamic extremist.” The al Qaeda terrorists who blew up the World Trade Center had nothing to do with Islam, they were just terrorists trying to make a dishonest living. The Muslim major who shouted the Islamic battle cry, “Allahu Akbar” (“God is great!”) as he killed 13 and wounded 30 at Fort Hood, Texas, was guilty only of “workplace violence,” not “terrorism.” If he’s convicted of murder by court martial, he can apply for workmen’s compensation (and call John Brennan and Gen. Dempsey as supporting witnesses). Paperclip generals have sharp antennae and know who punches their tickets.
The West in general and America in particular has shown remarkable patience and forbearance to the Muslims in our midst, according them, as we should, respect and a welcome into what we once called “the melting pot.” But somebody ought to instruct the paperclip generals that there’s an enemy out there in the dark, and it’s important to know who he is.

Our military is forced to adhere to politically correct policies, and is expected to handle blood-thirsty terrorists with sensitivity. The military has been slashed to its pre-WWII size, a move that has historically spelled disaster.
Second Amendment Rights
Gun control, which Obama which has called the “biggest frustration” of his presidency, is the president’s favorite go-to legislation. He most recently proposed Australian-style gun control, while completely disregarding statistics which show higher gun ownership = lower crime rates.
Taxes and Spending
The more money you make, the more you will be punished. This is Obama’s tax policy in a nutshell. And if you don’t buy health insurance, you will taxed for that, too. He’s proposed 442 tax hikes since taking office. And he turned a blind eye to the IRS’s persecution of conservative groups.
The money Obama’s government gains from all the taxing his administration does seems to be burning a hole in this president’s pocket. He’s not afraid to spend, and he has no intention of making any cuts. Our national debt is at a record high. Each U.S. citizen owes $55,100.36 and counting. “The National Debt has continued to increase an average of $2.37 billion per day since September 30, 2012!” Way to go, B.O.!

Angry Obama Again Attacks, Targets Fellow Americans, Demonizes Conservatives, Tea Party as a ‘Threat’ to the Future

As much as he does it — with Barack Obama, it’s almost become a political art form — it still shocks me when the President of the United States paints a clear target on the foreheads of a large segment of the American people.

The reason for the target? The catalyst for presidential ridicule and scorn? Climate change.

So, color me shocked, once again. Obama has used a commencement speech — what really should be an inspiring, uplifting, positive send-off for graduates — to not only criticize his fellow Americans, but to demonize them as “a fairly serious threat to everybody’s future.”

Let me call out that quote once more, because it is so reprehensible, so irresponsible. The president actually said that Americans who don’t agree with him and his administration overlords on “climate change” are:

“A FAIRLY SERIOUS THREAT TO EVERYBODY’S FUTURE.”

If this is not targeting millions of Americans, if this is not potentially inciting violence against his countrymen who disagree with him, if this is not essentially a declaration of domestic war, tell me what it is.

Here’s the incredibly offensive excerpt from Obama’s commencement speech at the University of California Irvine, as reported by the Washington Times:

“Their view may be wrong, and a fairly serious threat to everybody’s future, but at least they have brass to say what they actually think,” Mr. Obama said. “There are some who also duck the question. They say, when they’re asked about climate change, they’ll say, ‘Look, I’m not a scientist.’ I’ll translate that for you. What that really means is — I know man-made climate change is really happening, but if I admit it I’ll be run out of town by a radical fringe who thinks climate science is a liberal plot.”

Yes, I am shocked by this kind of incendiary language from our president. Yes, I am shocked and hope I always will be. Because if the shock of this sort of violence-provoking rhetoric ever wears off and we accept it, they have won.
