Last night Majority Leader Frist announced that he will be bringing the Secure Fence Act of 2006 to the floor of the Senate this week for an up-or-down vote. This legislation would construct over 700 miles of two-layered reinforced fencing along our southwest border and would mandate the use of cameras, ground sensors, UAVs and other forms of hi-tech surveillance along each inch of America’s borders. This legislation has already passed the House by a vote of 283-138 but Senate Democrats are threatening to filibuster.

Accordingly, we’ve created www.SecureAmericasBorders.com , a phone bank listing the numbers of all Democratic Senators that is designed to encourage online activists to tell Democrats to put petty partisanship aside and vote in favor of the Secure Fence Act. We’ve also included three www.SecureAmericasBorders.com web banners, so bloggers can show their support … and we’ve blogroll for those bloggers who participate.

The www.SecureAmericasBorders.com campaign is patterned after the success of our www.BloggingforBolton.com effort … an effort that was endorsed by bloggers at nearly 80 blogs including Power Line, Little Green Footballs, Wizbang!, PoliPundit, Human Events Online, Right Wing News, Atlas Shrugs, Gateway Pundit, and Blogs for Bush … an effort which has generated over 2,500 phone calls in less than a week.

We believe that a coordinated conservative blogosphere could generate at least that many calls in support of border security and real fencing. And we’d love to have your help. I’d ask that you check the site out, email me with any questions that you might have, and post about the campaign at the Americans for Legal Immigration site so that Democrats can better understand the urgency of border security and real fencing.

Michael & Senator Sell OUT Frist:

Thank you for writing me about this, but it is far to late in the game for Senator Frist to make amends with any American that knows what is really going on here.

The damn fence your boy Frist is touting won't mean a damn if he gets his S. 2611 through. No army mounted on the highest walls will stop the flood of humanity that will descend on us after you reward the illegal aliens already in the nation by allowing them to stay.

You tell Senator Frist to turn around and address the Executive Branch and demand immediate enforcement of our existing laws and we may be able to talk.

Your efforts in the blogsphere will fail and I respond with utter contempt that you and your staff think you can sell us on this horse crap wall plan after your vote on S. 2611.

The last thing our nation needs in this time of peril is another liar in office that is willing to sell us all out and pretend to be our hero at the same time.

Tell Senator Frist we spoke and tell Senator Frist that our reach on the Internet exceeds your meager campaign by large margins and we will continue to remind the electorate of his past votes and deeds supporting illegal aliens.

I try my best to remain respectful to elected officials, but that.... hell the bill even had in-state tuition for illegal aliens in it.

Thank you for writing me. I'm going to prep a press release for TN for next week and remind the whole state of what sellout Frist has been up to with his big Globalist corpoartion buddies.

Try apologizing for S. 2611 for a start and beg the electorate for forgiveness for selling them out and selling out the United States of America.

W, that is really good. I can tell and you even stated in the letter that you try to remain respectful, but sometimes it is just no longer possible.

Thank you for catching another scam on us before we might play into their hands.

Like you said, "enforcing our existing laws and maybe we can talk". That sums it up regarding the way we Americans feel. We're tired of playing games.

I have called Senator Frist's office more than once to confront the traitor actions of voting by Senator Frist in regards to the fence, in state tuition (DREAM ACT), anchor babies, "COMPREHENSIVE" reform, the whole enchilada of that bill the Senate passed.

If you go to Tennessee Senatorial candidate Bob Corker's website, it isn't any better. That word "Comprehensive" is there without mention of other illegal immigration reform measures of any weight.

I personally will be emailing Frists office and note that he is trying to scam American just like those phony emails we all get. They try to look legit, but they are as legit as the illegal aliens are.

Frist could not pass 2611 without a financial one to go with it could he? So he used the fence as his financial, am I getting this right William?

Great response W. No quarter to these traitors and no to 2611! You can be sure that whatever people like Frist are doing they have an ulterior motive with amnesty in mind. They are going to eventually stand up and say something like "Gee, look at what we did. We really do care about security. Now how about that amnesty?" Not to mention that while 700 miles of fence is good it is only a start. Assuming that it actually gets done in the first place we've got many miles to go. Thanks for standing up William!

Just in case you haven't heard, Senator Boxer is trying to add the AgJobs bill as an amendment to the House's fence bill. Senator Durbin is considering adding DREAM as an ammendment. We can't let them butcher the House's bill with all these illegal alien-friendly ammendments.

I think we should weigh these members of Congress in the elections on what they have done before now, not what they do last minute to try and save themselves.
