Why is Alabama's Washington delegation missing in action?

Why is Alabama's Washington delegation missing in action?

Where are they? Where is their opposition to the Obama Administrations growing bypassing of their authority? Where are their voices of dissension to his onslaught against the Constitution? Edmund Burke stated that: "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." Our Senator's and Representatives for the most part have done nothing.

Our leadership in Alabama once stood strong against the efforts of the Bush Adminstration to push amnesty for illegals and other harmful measures. President Obama bypasses Congress, rules by executive order, and tramples the Constitution underfoot. Our leaders, in remaining silent give what can only be described as implied consent.

Here are but a few examples of their inaction:

Fast and Furious scandal- The Obama Administration has literally armed the barbaric Mexican cartels to the teeth. These weapons in turn have been used to murder U.S. Border Patrol agents. Fox News reported on September 26, 2011 that taxpayer dollars were used to buy Draco pistols that were sold to illegal buyers and allowed to disappear. Since Interstate 85 is used as drug pipeline; some of these weapons may find their way into Alabama. Attempts to get a response from the Alabama delegation has fell on deaf ears. Eric Holder's Justice Department even had the gall to lay the blame on the Second Amendment and American gun laws. Again no response from Alabama leaders.

DREAM Act Adminstrative amnesty- President Obama wanted amnesty for illegal aliens in order to get the Latino vote. His chances of getting it through Congress were slim to none. His answer was to forget Congress and order Immigration and Customs Enforcement to treat it, as if, it were law. He thumbed his nose at the U.S. Constitution, the Senate, and the House of Representatives to pander to illegals. Alabama's delegation remains strangely silent.

President Obama allows Mexican President Felipe Calderon to belittle, ridicule, and insult Arizona, Georgia, and Alabama for doing the job Obama refuses to do. Hard to find an example of the Alabama delegation coming to the defense of Alabama or other states.

Alabama House Bill 56- Every Third World country wanting us to finance their illegal aliens joined in a lawsuit against Alabama. President Obama's Justice Department sues Alabama; denigrating Alabama citizens as racist in the process. The Obama Administration increased funding of the National Council of La Raza (The Race) from $4 million to $11.1 million. NCLR is also a plaintif in the suit against H.B. 56. Alabama's delegation is strangely absent and silent as the deck was stacked against us.

Solyndra and other "green" scandals- Alabama taxpayers are being fleeced to fund President Obama's radical environmental pipe dreams. His green agenda is stimulating nothing, but a bad economy in Alabama. Again no real voices of protest out of the Alabama delegation.

Imprisoned Border Patrol agent Jesus E. Diaz, Jr.- The Law Enforcement Officers Advocates Council sought support from the Alabama delegation to assist in the defense of Agent Diaz. On October 20, 2011; Agent Diaz was sentenced to 24 months and a ruined career for the deprivation of right under color of law of a drug smuggling illegal alien. The criminal alien received immunity and a travel visa making his illicit trade much easier. Agent Diaz was railroaded to appease the Mexican Consulate. Andy Ramirez, president of LEOAC states; While the sentence was light compared to what it could have been, Agent Diaz is a hero and this case never should have gone forward....Where is the justice in this case? Once again our government is far more concerned with the so-called rights of criminal illegal alien dopers than our agents who continue to be prosecuted for doing their job. Congress needs to investigate this case and the pattern of misconduct and abuse that has resulted in an innocent agent going to prison yet again."

Andy Ramirez is correct in his assessment of our government. If they don't stand up for what is right; they might as well be standing for the wrong. To not speak up for the citizens of Alabama and the U.S. or those on the frontlines is to turn your back on them. To stand idle against President Obama's onslaught against the Constitution and common sense is to imply consent.

Alabamians need to light up the Washington switchboard with calls to their offices. They should demand answers to these and other important questions. Hold them accountable and make them earn their pay. How long stand ye idle, Alabama?

    Senator Jeff Sessions
    Senator Richard Shelby
    Rep. Jo Bonner
    Rep.Martha Roby
    Rep. Mike Rogers
    Rep. Robert Aderholt
    Rep. Mo Brooks
    Rep.Spencer Bachus
    Rep.Terri Sewell

Let your voice be heard! If they can't earn their pay; we should remember come election time.
