Before you shop tomorrow
The illegals are the symptom or the result of actions taken by our government and greedy employers -
We need to get at the employer in order to fix the problem. Without our money, they can't hire the illegals and they will go home.
So instead of sitting back and letting the illegals 'turn' on their employers and letting the employers suffer - it seems the American people want to rush in and bandage the wounds and make sure the Employers don't have a bad day.
What message are we trying to send? Truly.
Are we trying to say to the illegals - you can't close down our economy? You don't run our economy? They know that already - that's just rhetoric - they know it, we know it.
Or are we sending the message to the employers that no matter how badly you treat us - we will still spend our hard earned dollars with you? We will even protect you against your illegal employees by spending our money with you? Do we think the employers will 'love' us the next day and suddenly fire all those illegals?
May 2nd, the employers will be open for business, without suffering from the actions of their employees, the illegals will be working again - and the American people will be lighter in the wallet. The employers will be absolutely assured that the American people will not punish them for what they have done. The illegals will know that no matter what the Americans will continue to put out the money that keeps them here.
The politicians will be assured that the American people will not let big business down - and big business won't let the politician down - so they are free to do whatever they want.
The winners - illegal employers, the illegals, the politicians

nntrixie,
Good points, and you won't find me shopping till I drop today. Unless I just need an item or two from the grocery store or pharmacy, I won't be shopping. As far as spending big bucks with large shopping, I cannot afford it anyway.
I will make note though of any employers in my area that allow illegal aliens to take the day off work. They won't get my business in the future.

Well, Annie, we are in the minority - it seems.
We have to buy calf feed today - poor planning.
