My letter to Barbara Boxer via Numbers U S A

    Senator Boxer
    Senator Feinstein

As you might be aware, on July 6th, the Obama Administration filed suit against Arizona to prevent the state from implementing its new immigration enforcement law, SB 1070. During the press conference, Attorney General Eric Holder said:

Arizonans are understandably frustrated with illegal immigration, and the federal government has a responsibility to comprehensively address those concerns.

But diverting federal resources away from dangerous aliens such as terrorism suspects and aliens with criminal records will impact the entire country's safety.

It is very unfortunate that the Obama Administration has decided that dealing with the 12-18 million illegal aliens living illegally in the United States is not worth the Department of Justice's time. Furthermore, it is downright despicable that Attorney General Holder has inferred that if Arizona's new law is not declared unconstitutional, then another major terrorist attack would be more likely to occur.

    Senator Barbara Boxer
U.S. Senate, 112 Hart Senate Office Building
    Washington, DC 20510

    Dear Senator Boxer:

I cannot believe that the Obama Administration has decided to side with illegal aliens and anti-American worker interest groups and oppose Arizona's new immigration enforcement law. Whose interests are they supposed to protect: those of Americans and legal immigrants or those of illegal aliens who broke the law to come here?

When Attorney General Eric Holder announced the Obama Administration's decision to sue Arizona, he said:

"Arizonans are understandably frustrated with illegal immigration, and the federal government has a responsibility to comprehensively address those concerns. But diverting federal resources away from dangerous aliens such as terrorism suspects and aliens with criminal records will impact the entire country's safety."

Why are Attorney General Holder and his colleagues at the Department of Justice so afraid of doing their jobs? It seems that they don't regard illegal aliens as "real" criminals. While not all of these individuals are violent, they have all committed a a crime by coming here illegally and most have committed a crime by stealing an American job. Why is this not sufficient for them to be arrested and deported?

15 million Americans cannot find a job and it seems the Obama Administration only cares about the 8 million illegal aliens with a job. I suggest you make it clear to your constituents that you care about these unemployed Americans and oppose the Obama Administration's lawsuit.

    Feeling unrepresented, TS

P.S. As usual.... The demorats are making a huge mistake by supporting Illegal aliens over United States citizens In this debate. You are wreckless In your Ill conceived belief that you will Inherit the entire voting block of people that are currently here Illegally by giving them AMNESTY at the American taxpayer expense. You are truly traitors to your own country.

Great letter! Only someone stuck on stupid would fail to understand the outrage and outright betrayal that ordinary Americans are feeling.

In filing suit against Arizona, the administration is delivering an only slightly veiled and deeply troubling message to other states: Enforcing immigration laws locally may be right for your state; it may be popular with the voters; you even may prevail in the end. But we would rather fight you - American citizens - than fight illegal immigration.

Upping the ante appears to be the latest strategy not only of the Obama administration, but also of others who want to prevent enforcement of immigration laws. In the case of the illegal-alien advocacy network, the threat is explicit, not implicit. "Local legislation is going to end up costing taxpayers millions of dollars," warned Ali Noorani, who runs the National Immigration Forum, an amnesty advocacy group.

In the end, many local governments will have little choice but to endure the expense of a court battle as the costs of providing basic services to illegal aliens escalate. The decision of the Obama administration to bleed the taxpayers of Arizona signals that before Americans can protect themselves against the harmful effects of mass illegal immigration, they will have to fight a very costly battle with their own government.
