Hello ALIPACers,

I was at the Illegal Alien Amnesty March last Sunday...I'm actually still in the DC area. You can see some of my 150 photos (not all posted yet) on my web page and facebook.

I was surprised by the large number of illegal aliens and their supporters. I believe they are becoming better organized and sophisticated, especially in the use of communications technology. This is in part due to the fact that many of the illegal aliens in the US are technology proficient, allowing them to communicate and distribute information about rallies and events quickly and efficiently via cell phones, Blackberries, and the internet. Combined with the money from groups like the Tides Foundation, organizing power of the SEIU, the existing networks of non-profits and religious groups, their influence is growing despite Congress' supposed hesitancy to tackle amnesty.

After experiencing the rally, I am not sure even if ICE begins to be extremely aggressive in enforcement, that it would solve the problem....even if given a decade to solve it. I'm afraid the "tipping" point has already passed.

I think eventually the military will be called in to assist ICE since I think the next phase of the battle will be a Latin American style insurgency strategy that will start small out west and grow until the feds get serious.

I hope it doesn't happen but I believe many rather fight than leave voluntarily or involuntarily.

So we must continue to stop Amnesty and work harder than the opposition and accept that there will be a price to pay for keeping our sovereignty--and it won't be cheap.
