Guerilla tactics work. Trust me.

When I first moved down here I got an account at Bank of America (BoA). The most annoying thing for me was seeing this Home Mortgage sign that was in Spanish right by the teller windows. The most annoying part is that there was no english on the sign anywhere, but there were english brochures (along with spanish ones).

One day I noticed a black dry erase marker that staff must use to update the daily mortgage rates. I began taking this marker and writing phrases like "Enlish speakers want to buy homes too", "Me No Speaka Da Spanish", "Ummmm I want to buy a home but can't read this" etc....

I have been doing this for months.

Today I go to the same bank and to my astonishment the sign is in English. I yell really loud "YES! I WON".

Guerilla Tactics work folks, start posting messages at stores about spanish language ads. Make sure you file formal complaints with management about spanish language products and advertising. If I can reverse BoA's thinking with small messages, which I'm certain most other customers agree with, then we can all make a difference in our local communities.
