Stupidity gene
An acquaintance of mine who supports illegal immigrants and open borders recently claimed that ‘enforcement advocates’ have a ‘stupidity gene’ that stops them from seeing the ‘obvious benefits’ of legalizing illegal aliens and opening our borders to all who want to come here.
While I have no doubt that there are some people who support enforcement for ‘stupid’ reasons, I posit that the ‘stupidity gene’ infects folks on both sides of the immigration debate. I notice it also among people who insist that importing millions of impoverished, third world people is somehow a good thing for this country.
That's a GREAT idea. Let's depress American wages to the tune of $200 BILLION dollars a year. That's a great way to keep the economy afloat. Well, at least the stock market, anyway. It doesn't help the 50+% of Americans that AREN'T INVESTED in the stock market, though, and THEY'RE the ones who's wages are hurt the MOST.
While we're at it we can over-run education with millions of school-aged children who are illiterate in their native languages, and penalize American children's education by making them wait while the 'poor immigrants' catch up. Let's try to teach them in cramped and over-crowded trailers while we tax ourselves silly throwing money at a problem that money can't solve.
Let's overwhelm our law enforcement officers and swamp our judicial system with hundreds of thousands of hardened criminals whose ONLY reason for being here is to further their criminal enterprises.
We can even close ANOTHER 400 hospital ER's by giving free medical care to people who need a paid translator to tell the doctor where it hurts, and then proceed to complain of a sore throat or a sprained ankle.
Let's continue to put American's out of work, and force them to choose between groceries for their kids or the mortgage payment. Foreclosures are at an ALL-TIME HIGH already, maybe this would be a good time to buy cheap and get into the slumlord business.
Speaking of slums, let's continue to encourage these fine folks to live 20 or more in a 3 bedroom home, park multiple vehicles, running or otherwise, in their front yards, play their music at 100 decibels at 2AM and decorate our shopping centers with their colorful gang graffiti.
Yeah, that 'stupidity gene' sure does get around...

Great synopsis, Pine!
That's about as concise and comprehensive as you can put it.
Speaking of health care problems...........My nephew is an OB/GYN M.D. at Parkland Memorial in Dallas. This year they expect to deliver close to 13,000 anchor babies. They (Dallas County) billed Mexico $176.5 MILLION this year for past services rendered. I'm sure the check is in the mail. There is mounting evidence that the Mexican government sends its prospective parents to specific "sanctuary" hospitals. I have personal knowledge of hospitals closing their E.R.'s just to stay afloat.
14th Amendment was overdue for overhaul or repeal shortly after passage (1866, I believe).

In a complete circle!
If the stock market is such a sweet deal- why not invest in it?
You suggest getting into the slumlord business- nothing prevents you!
That's what capitalism is all about. Success is never guaranteed!
Somewhere you get the idea that everything has to be equally divided and stay equally divided. Move to Sweden!
Capitalism is also based on the virtue of free enterprise and competition. Adam Smith's supply and demand. If you aren't competitive, make yourself so. Stop whining about the competition.
Don't like public schools or the way they have to take everybody? Put your kid in private school and work for the abolition of public schools or for altering them.
If you are certain that the law enforcement agencies are swamped- work for hiring more police and improving the one's we've got.
Your list of tired old complaints that center exclusively on one ethnic group are truly tedious!
If they weren't here you'd find someone else to blame things on!
Get this straight: I work hard, too. Long hours and many of them I don't get paid for. I do a job that no one else wants to do for the salary I get. (Otherwise every position would be filled, wouldn't it?)
I AM NOT COMPLAINING!! I made the choice to do what I do and I believe I do it well. I pay my taxes and I do volunteer work. I have raised my children well and continue to watch, care and sometimes steer their progress. If the State wants to help- fine- but I expect nothing! The State does its job by keeping organized
foreign powers out of my hair- if they don't its the State's
fault. I vicariously pay the police to keep criminal activity out of my hair- if they don't it's the police's fault.
Finally, if I have a roof over my head and it leaks, it is the fault of the builder or the roofer- not the rain!
I, like most everyone else, have occasional troubles with the neighbors. I settle them or endure them. I don't blame an entire ethnic group for them!
I sometimes think (to paraphrase Will Rogers) that the illegal immigration is a blessing in disguise: It's improving the average intelligance of both countries!Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Interesting thought process.
