    Myopic politicians

The myopic politicians who are pandering and drooling for the burgeoning
new voting block of aliens will be in for a surprise. They think that they
will be rewarded with votes for refusal to seal the borders and protect our
country. Haha! The laugh will be on them. When all the millions get all
their extended families in here they will put Jose Guacimoli in power and
kick the gringos who held office before to the curb.
There will be a measure of sweet justice to see this while we go down the
    tubes.

Our politicians will be crying in their beer. All their pandering and catering to illegal amigos while ignoring non-Hispanic voters and citizens for so long will finally come to roost! Too bad that the rest of us and this country will have to go down the tubes with them, though.

Goodwitch, I think you are right.

But between now and then, if the Republicans think there is anything to be gained from going along with an amnesty, they are delusional. If they support an amnesty, they will be double-losers. Not only will the Dems get the credit, but most Republican voters will be furious and hold them responsible, since they have the power to stop this.

The only short-term winners in a political sense are the Democrats.....no wonder Nancy, Harry, Hillary and Obama are all but licking the boots of Gutierrez, LaRaza, LULAC, MALDEF, the Chamber of Commerce, etc.

In reality though, the BIG LOSERs will be the American people who are being ignored by the Democrats on this issue. As a former Democrat, I am appalled at how blatantly the Democrats have thrown overboard all of their supposed core constituency groups....America's poor, minorities, workers, those concerned about our environment, global warming, pollution, loss of wildlife habitat and farm lands. The hypocrisy on this issue from the Democrats has reached an all-time high. Never has it been so clear that the Democrats are complete frauds, only out to attain political power at the expense of the American people and our precious country.

Amazingly, American citizens have not been considered "stakeholders" in the immigration debate even though we and our children will be the ones to bear the devastating consequences and financial costs. I have heard it said time and again that those politicians who support amnesty are clueless about the costs or even refuse to consider either the costs or consequences.

Truly, these people do not belong in political office if they choose to deny reality or to consider future consequences of any legislation they enact.

So, going back to your original statement, most politicans are indeed myopic. But more than that, they are self-centered, power-hungry, and terminally corrupt.

In a nutshell they are overthrowing America and throwing all American citizens under the bus while pandering for what they naively think amounts to future votes. It will be sweet karma when Obama and Hillary realize that their LaRaza memberships are temporary and will be revoked as soon as the democrats hand over the reigns of power to the Race. If/when this happens we will all be under hispanic dominated government and third world anarchy. That will be the saddest day in American history.

While I do agree with the fact that our politicians are throwing our views into the garbage can and that they will do whatever they please eventually, I do take high offense at "hispanic dominated government". My fiance is Hispanic [a legal immigrant from Argentina]. Argentina's government [and Panama's and Chile and even, to a lesser extent especially now that they chose flawed democracy as opposed to complete socialism, Peru] are obviously Hispanic dominated governments and they are maintaining a relatively healthy government and economy.

We shouldn't put down an entire ethnicity just because of the flaws of on faction of their brethren. Not all Hispanic countries are third world anarchies, so please, before we make assumptions, let's look at all the facts in case we should alienate some of our Hispanic partners in this fights against illegal immigration.

Agreed. Thanks for pointing this out iamtired23.

While the vast majority of illegal aliens are "Hispanic" - mostly due to sheer geography, than anything else, in no way is it safe to characterize an entire ethnic group.

If the radical Reconquistas currently holding political office are what we can expect, then indeed this nation has it's work cut out for it. I see the current crop of Hispanic politicians as a threat to this nation and to it's citizenry. AMERICAN Hispanics must stand up to the radicals in their midst and rebuke the Aztlaners or the stereotyping will only get worse.

Having Hispanic heritage myself and blood Mexican family I think I can say that without being called a 'racist'.

Iamtired23, I couldn't agree with you more, and I too have family and friends who are hispanic and/or from Latin American countries. However, given that upwards of 85% of those who are here illegally are from Mexico or other Latin American countries, by default, we are talking about a population that happens to be largely hispanic - this is simply fact. Unfortunately, many illegals and their supporters have an agenda that is not intended to serve American citizens as a whole, but seeks to serve those who are here illegally as well as those who would follow them here. So, I believe there is reason for concern. All we have to do is look at California to see the future - e.g., sanctuary cities that refuse to follow federal law and that protect those who are here illegally, and a state legislature that consistently tries to push for rights and benefits for those who are here illegally. This is an agenda that would take taxpayer dollars to support those who are here illegally. It's not about ethnicity, but it is about the agenda that has been clearly expressed, articulated, pushed by many among the pro-illegal communities.

Our politicians are not myopic. They are traitors. They know exactly what they are doing. Yes I believe they think they will buy votes with the new block, but they are wrong. I feel it is inbetween the elitist policitcians who are intentional TRAITORS and you have the policitians who are only thinking of money and are in the coporations pockets. I feel this nation needs another voting revolution out. However, as long as morons, dead people, and even Illegals can get away in voting in our elections, we will continue to have these politicians running this counrty into the ground.
