    102 Minutes that Changed America

Last night I watched a show on the history channel "102 Minutes that Changed America.' I was frozen as I watched this, I couldn't get up, I held my hand over my mouth throughout the entire show and cried. The 9/11 pain had returned. It hurt again.

I am one of those who of course will NEVER forget 9/11 but I don't think about it as much. I do think about it when I hear what our president and idiot congress do on a daily basis. We all know that we are not protected now, we have open borders, no enforcement, appeasers, bring the terrorist killers here and give them Constitutional rights? and have turned our back on the killings at Ft. Hood.

I am in pain now that I know we are now weaker than ever. We even have a president born to this 'peaceful and tolerant' religion who shows no dedication to the American people much less the constitution; wanting power from those on Government welfare.

People, I am so scared now because I feel that something worse than 9/11 is being planned and will happen again. At the end of his term, I did not like George Bush but I felt somewhat protected and knew he would fight for America.

We have to get this man bho out of office!! What will it take for people to wake up and stand up for themselves and America!!!!???

Please watch it if you get a chance. It will strengthen you again.

I wish I had some words that could give you some comfort, but I don't because I feel the same way on nearly a daily basis. I keep trying to see the silver lining in BHO's presidency (like how he is taking this country downhill at breakneck speed as opposed to a toddler on a trike - the sooner we fall the sooner, hopefully, we can pick ourselves up). I have no doubts we will be attacked again - and yes, it might be worse than 9-11. In fact it will likely be a multi city attack....

All I can say is get your spiritual house in order, get back to basics for your very survival. Take steps to be as self reliant as possible. If you live in the inner city - try and move to a more rural area if possible. Learn to garden and can. Get a gun. Learn how to use it comfortably. Stockpile food and water. Make sure your pantry is full at all times. Keep extra fuel around so you can get out quick if need be.

I know you didn't ask for this advice and that you have probably heard it all before - but as for me, I take comfort in taking as many steps as I am able to be prepared to protect my family as much as possible.

It also gave me great comfort to watch The Obama Deception. In 2008, I thought I was losing my mind. I'd come here and read these stories and I could not understand why our govt was doing these things that seemed to not make sense. Why do they seem to hate us? Why are they ruining our country on purpose? While I did NOT like what I learned from the movie, all the pieces to the puzzle fell in to place and my questions (even the ones I did not know to ask) were pretty much answered. For some reason, knowing the truth and understanding it was a great comfort to me.

I will try and watch the show you saw. Hang in there.

Get rid of the fear, it does no good. Pray for strength and wisdom, then face the troubles.

I try to face everyday knowing that I have not been promised tomorrow.

    Hope that helps.

I'm sorry to hear about what you're going through and like Sic wrote, I wish there was something I also could say which would make this all go away for you.

    Unfortunately, that's not possible.

The first thing I would say to you though is this........please stop putting yourself through this horrible fear and torment manifesting itself when you watch shows like this. Please, stop watching them.

You don't need to do this to yourself....not watching doesn't mean that you have forgotten, will ever forget, does not, in any way, diminish the enormity of the loss and grief. Not watching doesn't erase the memory of those who lost their lives that day.

Secondly, it's okay to be afraid. Fear is an instinct we are blessed with...yes I said blessed. It's there so that we can protect ourselves and survive. We need it.

But, we can't let it paralyze us to the point of inaction either.

Are we going to be attacked again? Are things going to get worse in this country before they get better? We would all hope not but, right now, the brutal truth is that, barring a miracle, it looks like the odds are against us.
Living in fear isn't going to change that so, as Sic pointed out, we need to be prepared.

We need to feel confident and empowered, not helpless and you'll find that as you go about making preparations...no matter how small or insignificant you may think they are....the fear is pushed aside and you do feel better. You'll be amazed to find out that you can do things you never imagined you could, do them well, and even enjoy them!!

And don't forget to take care of yourself. It's really okay to not be all consumed by this stuff 24/7. Relax, enjoy things which make you happy and let you forget for awhile. We all need that.

Thanks for all of the kinds words and advice. I don't really think I am living in terror and I am focused on my kids and family and stopping amnesty and this pathetic health care bill.

I don't watch a lot of these shows but I was frozen in my tracks when I saw it last night and couldn't stop.

It just brought back the fear and pain.

I will continue to pray and continue to fight this fight!! Let's stop amnesty AND this heath care!!!

. . . oh yeah and enjoy Christmas!!!

I grew up in the 50's & 60's when Communism was a great threat ....I fear many young people today are embracing something that is heading toward Communism.

Every day we are losing more of our freedom!

My advice, turn your fear into anger and resolve to take our country back and return it to the values that made it great. Remember that you are not alone!
...I call on you in the name of Liberty, of patriotism & everything dear to the American character, to come to our aid...
