One reason to avoid Nuevo Laredo...
Charges in NL kidnap
By:, Associated Press
01/14/2007
A Mexican woman has been charged in the kidnapping of two U.S. citizens held captive for one day last year before a $20,000 ransom was paid.
Christina Rodriguez, 31, was arrested Thursday on charges of conspiracy to kidnap U.S. citizens in a foreign country, the FBI said in a statement.
According to court documents, the victims were taken by five black-clad gunmen July 16 in Nuevo Laredo where those who were kidnapped had gone to attend a wedding.
Rodriguez worked at a Laredo restaurant with the victims and tipped off the kidnappers in Mexico about their whereabouts, according to a criminal complaint filed in federal court. The documents state that the kidnappers later admitted to their victims that they weren't the intended targets.
Mexican authorities arrested four men who admitted to the kidnapping about two weeks after it took place, according to court papers.THE POOR ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT IN MY AVATAR CROSSED OVER THE WRONG BORDER FENCE!!!

Mexico is so corrupt, period. The drug cartels own the place. They buy the police, military personnel, government officials, and normal citizens. Our blind government can't see the threat, and the next Mexican president that does something abou these goons would be the first. And to think, some want to dissolve our border. PLEASE!!!

Only one reason? I can give you 22 reasons......
There are still 22 American citizen tourists missing in just the last year
because of kidnappings, with no help coming from the mexican government.
The fate of our citizens rests in the hands of the mexican government and on that note, their fate will forever be left unknown.
Mexico has now become the kidnap capitol of the world. No tourist is safe there anymore, not even at the resorts.
Travelers beware, stay away from mexico. Even the heavily guarded fear for their lives.
Living in Texas I get to see all the news casts about the kidnappings and drug smuggling. The nation doesn't see this but the locals do.Stupid is as stupid does....... follow the law and if the lawmakers can't, then we need to boot them out of office..........

I was cruising some of 0ur border town websites last night: Eagle Pass, Laredo, Del Rio, Brownsville, and El Cenizo. El Cenizo seems pretty proud of some of there neighbors, including a link to Nuevo Laredo. (Fortunately, the link doesn't work.) Of course, El Cenizo is the town that made Spanish the official language. I'm sure the ACLU was all over that one.
I don't see why anyone needs to visit Mexico anymore, or any other Third World countries for that matter. These third worlders entering our country aren't leaving it behind; they are bringing it with them, crime, poverty, and all.THE POOR ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT IN MY AVATAR CROSSED OVER THE WRONG BORDER FENCE!!!

I've been to eagle pass when I was repo'ing a car. Slimy little town it is, and I was constantly looking over my shoulder all through the night. I have also been through alot of border towns from texas to california. They all seem to be the same. Ghetto towns with lots of crime.

Get too close to it, and it will rub off on you. Some stuff don't come off with soap and water.
