Ron Paul just said a fence never stopped an Illegal Immigran

Just said this a moment ago on Fox News to Charles Krauthammer:
"Ron Paul just said a fence never stopped an Illegal Immigrant"
Hmmm. . .if*Americans are so racist, why do so many*people want to live*here??* One would think we wouild need border walls to keep them here under racist rule rather than building walls to keep them out!

The implication Ron Paul is making is that there is no point in building fences to protect the border as they will ALWAYS find a way over it, BUT WE KNOW THAT FENCES DO WORK AND THE YUMA SECTOR IS A GOOD EXAAMPLE OF THEIR EFFICACY.

It is obvious that a President Paul would not complete the border fence, so we certainly should not support his candidacy!!

Paul has always said to bring the troops back from protecting other countries borders, and protect ours. Why the hell we spend trillions protecting Iraq's borders, while leaving our own undefended.

And when Ron Paul says something, he damn sure means it. That is why the government/United Nations owned news media blacks out his coverage and omits him from polls. The elitists want no borders, they want to rob you of your money, to pay for the poor decisions they have made.

If you have ever listed anything on Craigslist, you can appreciate all the scam mails you received... well that is our government and their news media.

I'm all for building a fence, but it won't stop illegals. It will make it a little harder to cross the border, but illegals will find ways around it. So, i'm not going to not vote for someone strictly because they don't want to build a fence. Ron Paul is the only candidate that rightly believes birthright citizenship is unconstitutional, getting rid of that will do a lot more than building a fence.

If you ask the Border Patrol, they will tell you that unpatrolled fences alone cannot stop illegals, but fences can channel illegals away from crossing in urban areas and force them to try to cross in unfenced remote and rugged areas where the Border Patrol can more easily catch them. (Mod Edit/ RB)

The problem with Ron Paul is he has not supported legislation to bolster border security nor has he voted to increase interior enforcement. If he secures the nomination, I will vote for a third party.

You can build all the fence you want, but unless it's manned well-enough, it is a waste of money. The drug and human smugglers will dig under it, catapault drugs over it, bulldoze through it and try any other means they can dream up to get around it as we have already seen.

I am all for building a fence AND having it sufficiently (meaning a hell of a lot more man-power) patrolled by our soldiers and/or our National Guard and Border Patrol.

Ron Paul is is so very right about the birthright citizenship thing though. That magnet alone is a MAJOR factor in the illegal immigration draw. the problem is multi-facited but I see NO one else who has the guts to actually be front and center on this issue - without backing off it or flip-flopping to appease for their own self-interest rather than the interest of the AMERICAN people.

We need more people with "honest" kahunas in goverment. There are so few right now....

I agree Forest. It's not just ONE thing - it has to be a combination of deterrents, all working together like a well oiled machine. Sometimes we put too much stock on a single statement made by candidates. I've done it myself. There is no one solution to stopping this - but a combo of them working together. A fence alone is obviously not enough....as much as we wish that was all that is needed. Unfortunately we are WAAY past that now.

Hey Achilles, you have made your opinion well known concerning Ron Paul, hows about your opinion concerning anchors? Birthright citizenship? Do you think it is a problem worth approaching? Does your canidate even talk about the subject? Just curious.

I do not care who you vote for, or what party, but it would be nice to bring up some of the issues that most would like to avoid.

Hold their feet to the fire until someone cries "Uncle."

Some people may not like the Constitution, but it is not a matter of like, but a matter of having a set of guidelines set in place to keep ALL of us from being run into a subversive ditch by interests with deep pockets.

You either know the rules, or you play according to whomever owns the ball and they make the rules as the game moves along.
