Buchanan on Hannity and Colmes
Did anyone see Pat on Hannity and Comes? I just caught the tail end of it. Pat was arguing with Sean about Iraq. Sean mentioned Pat's "new explosive book." Did anyone see the whole interview?
What is his this new book?Serve Bush with his letter of resignation.
See you at the signing!!

I saw it, but I can't remember the name of his book. He talked quite a bit about illegal immigration with Sean, then Alan stuck his nose in and wouldn't let Pat answer his questions. Typical of an open border advocate.
RIP TinybobIdaho -- May God smile upon you in his domain forevermore.

Did they talk about what the book is about? Is it about illegal immigration? How badly did Colmes have his head handed to him in the debate with Pat?

Ah, I found it.....Its called Day of Reckoning and its about immigration, globalism, and the war in Iraq:
http://www.amazon.com/Day-Reckoning-Ide ... 120&sr=1-3
From the review:
While free enterprise is good, the worship of a 'free trade' that is destroying the dollar, de-industrializing America, and ending our economic independence, is cult madness. While America must stand for freedom and self-determination, the use of U.S. troops to police the planet or serve as advance guard of some 'world democratic revolution' is, as Iraq shows, imperial folly that will bring ruin to the republic. While America should speak out for human rights, the idea that we get in Russia's face and hand out moral report cards to every nation on earth is moral arrogance. While we have benefited from immigration and the melting pot worked with millions of Europeans, the idea we can import endless millions of aliens, legal and illegal, from every culture, clime, creed, and continent on earth, and still remain a country, is absurd. To save America the first imperative is to remove from power the ideologues of both parties who have nearly killed our country.Serve Bush with his letter of resignation.
See you at the signing!!

Buchanan was on for the last hour of Hannity's radio program today and made some interesting points. His new book is a must read.

Most of what Pat states is common sense however throughout the years
talking heads have considered him an extremist but in the end they
will find him correct.
Outsourcing, so called "free trade" and uncontrolled immigration along
with simple greed will destroy this county as we know it.I'm old with many opinions few solutions.

I have agreed with Pat Buchanan for many years.
Yes, the media branded him a kook and destroyed his run for the presidency. They wanted to shut him up and the best way to do it is to make someone seem foolish or laughable.
Think what we might have had if Pat Buchanan had gotten elected President. Would he have been able to fix everything, of course not. I have a feeling, however, our immigration problem would be less, our trade problems would be fewer and foreign policy would be geared more to the needs of America and not corporate America.
In my opinion, that is exactly what they are doing to Ron Paul and that is why I am watching his campaign closely. Anyone they try to destroy probably is going to be someone with whom I can agree.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Pat Buchanan lost the war of ideas in the republican party during the 1990's. I've never been a huge Buchanan fan, but one can't deny the fact that he was right about illegal immigration and free trade when most of the republican party ended up being wrong. If the U.S. and republican party had it to do all over again, an "isolationist" republican like Buchanan would have been a much better choice than a "compassionate conservative" like El Presidente Jorge Boosh. Live and learn.
I listened to Buchanan on Hannity's radio show yesterday and watched him on Hannity's TV show last night. He did a good job proving that Colme's talking points were based on fallacious arguments. My favorite exchange was when Colmes compared Buchanan's views regarding illegal immigration to the 20th century "Know Nothing Party" because they villanized Irish immigrants in the same way that Colme's thought Buchanan was villanizing illegal immigrants. Buchanan replied that the two groups can't be compared because most of our country's ancestors came to the U.S. on a boat whereas illegal invaders mainly come from a country that shares a border with the U.S.. That major difference poses a real threat to U.S. sovereignty in that the Southwest is becoming balkanized by this massive influx of people who still hold loyalties to one of our neighboring countries.

I don't see how wanting our trade deals to be ones that benefit America rather than the other country, is isolationism.
That's a kinda ugly word that is used a lot when it really isn't applicable.
He lost the war of ideas because our government was determined to sell us out with illegal immigration, one sided trade deals, etc. You bet they had to stop him from getting those ideas out there. It would put a serious monkey wrench in the works for them.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
