Thread: Another nefarious Texas "Business" association of

I heard on the radio this morning a statement by "Bill Hammond" of the Texas Association of Business that a closed border will mean less "growth." I thought to myself GOOD!

Less growth of crime
Less growth of taxes
Less growth of imported diseases
Less growth of gangs
Less growth of Americans dying because of illegal immigration
Less growth of urban sprawl
etc....

It is so obvious that we have a war on the Middle Class going on. Nitwits like this Bill Hammond (hope Google searches will find this from a search by his name) and the illegal barbarians roaming across the country have a lot in common. They both want to suck the marrow out of the country. People like BILL HAMMOND, no doubt, think they can make some quick profits and then find some place to hide from all the destruction they have created.

I would love to be in a debate with this guy and ask if he will help house these illegals he loves so much by putting some trailers on his land so that he can reap the same COSTS that everyone else has to, not just the paultry "benefits."

I just sent him an email asking him to cite the source where this dollar figure came from. I will post any reponse.
Even if this number is true, illegals are most likely taking much more in return which contradicts this money being cited as a positive cash flow.

Bill Hammond can eat dirt. Like the rest of those ruled by greed, he views the US as nothing more than a commercial zone with freely flowing commodities on two legs. That's all that matters, and the consequences be damned. I'll gladly give him a piece of my mind.

I was quite disgusted to hear your statement about controlling the border leading to less "growth." The amusing thing is that you think that is necessarily a bad thing. Since when is unsustainable growth the gold standard of what a society desires? It sure isn't an indication of quality of life. Let's consider some of this "growth."

Growing crime, gangs, taxes, inflation, traffic, diseases, urban sprawl. How about the growth of cheaply made McMansions?

Some of the statments on your site have no bearing on the current Senate bill, so I presume you are oppose to that?? Take, for instance, this: "Allows hard-working, tax-paying undocumented workers to earn legal status." Oh, so those who aren't working at all won't be eligible? NO. More bait-and-switch. ALL the ILLEGAL ALIENS (no such thing as "undocumented workers) will be eligible - EVEN GANG MEMBERS (you can ask Cornyn about that since his amendment to remove that provision was voted DOWN.)

Your site also comes up with some figure of "contributions" illegals make. I don't think that includes COSTS. Even with a meager estimate of 1.5 million illegals in Texas the costs have been estimated at 5 BILLION. Hmmm, but I guess you don't pay as much of that - no the rest of us have to PAY while you reap the profits of ILLEGAL labor.

Anyway, just thought you should know your stereotypical support for short-term profits by trashing the community you live in has set back the image of business owners.
