Charlie Daniels Speaks (This is why I LOVED the 70's &

HATS OFF TO CHARLIE DANIELS....AT LEAST HE HAS THE COURAGE TO SPEAK HIS MIND!!!

I don't know how everybody else feels about it, but to me I think Hispanic people in this country, legally or illegally, made a huge public relations mistake with their recent demonstrations.

I don't blame anybody in the world for wanting to come to the United States of America, as it is a truly wonderful place.

But when the first thing you do when you set foot on American soil is illegal, it is flat out wrong, and I don't care how many lala-land left heads come out of the woodwork and start trying to give me sensitivity lessons.

I don't need sensitivity lessons. In fact I don't have anything against Mexicans! I just have something against criminals. And anybody who comes into this country illegally is a criminal. And if you don't believe it, try coming into America from a foreign country without a passport and see how far you get. What disturbs me about the demonstrations is that it's tanta-mount to saying, "I am going to come into your country even if it means breaking your laws and there's nothing you can do about it."

It's an "in your face" action, and speaking just for me, I don't like it one little bit. And if there were a half dozen pairs of gonads in Washington bigger than English peas, it wouldn't be happening.

Where are you, you bunch of lily-livered, pantywaist, forked-tongued, sorry excuses for defenders of the Constitution? Have you been drinking the water out of the Potomac again?

And even if you pass a bill on immigration, it will probably be so pork laden and watered down that it won't mean anything anyway. Besides, what good is another law going to do when you won't enforce the ones on the books now?

And what ever happened to the polls, guys? I thought you folks were the quintessential finger wetters. Well you sure ain't paying any attention to the polls this time because somewhere around eighty percent of Americans want some thing done about this mess, and mess it is and getting bigger everyday.

This is no longer a problem, it is a dilemma and headed for being a tragedy. Do you honestly think that what happened in France with the Muslims can't happen here when the businesses who hire these people finally run out of jobs and a few million disillusioned Hispanics take to the streets?

If you, Mr. President, Congressmen and Senators, knuckle under on this and refuse to do something meaningful, it means that you care nothing for the kind of country your children and grandchildren will inherit. But I guess that doesn't matter as long as you get re-elected. Shame on you.

One of the big problems in America today is that, if you have the nerve to say anything derogatory about any group of people (except Christians,) you are going to be screamed at by the media and called a racist, a bigot, and anything else they can think of to call you

Well I've been pounded by the media before, and I'm still rockin' and rollin.' And when it comes to speaking the truth, I fear not. And the truth is that the gutless, gonadless, milksop politicians are just about to sell out the United States of America because they don't have the intestinal fortitude to stand up to face reality.

And reality is that we would never allow any other group of people to have 12 million illegals in this country and turn around and say, "Oh it's OK, ya'll can stay here if you'll just allow us to slap your wrist."

And I know that some of you who read this column are saying "Well what's wrong with that?" I'll tell you what's wrong with it. These people could be from Mars as far as we know. We don't know who they are, where they are, or what they're up to. And the way the Congress is going, we're not going to.

Does this make sense? Labor force you say? We already subsidize corporate agriculture as it is. Must we subsidize their labor as well?
If these people were from Haiti, would we be so fast to turn a blind eye to them? Or if they were from Somalia or Afghanistan? I think not.

All the media shows us are pictures of hard working Hispanics who have crossed the border just to try to better their life. They don't show you pictures of the Feds rounding up members of MS 13, the violent gang who came across the same way the decent folks did. They don't tell you about the living conditions of the Mexican illegal some fat cat hired to pick his crop.

I want to make two predictions.

No. 1: This situation is going to grow and fester until it erupts in violence on our streets while the wimps in Washington drag their toes in the dirt and try to figure how many tons of political hay they can make to the acre.

No 2: Somebody is going to cross that border with some kind of weapon of mass destruction and set it off in a major American city, after which there will be a backlash such as this country has never experienced. And the Capitol building in Washington will probably tilt as Congressmen and Senators rush to the other side of the issue.

I don't know about you, but I would love to see just one major politician stand up and say, "I don't care who I make mad, and I don't care how many votes I lose. This is a desperate situation, and I'm going to lead the fight to get it straightened out."

I don't blame anybody for wanting to come to America, but if you don't respect our immigration laws, why should you respect any others?
And by the way, this is America, and our flag has stars and stripes. Please get that other one out of my face.

    God Bless America

    Charlie Daniels

A Nation of Laws or Not?

Since when did the United States of America become a nation that enforces certain laws on its books and ignores others?

When did we become selective in those we prosecute in breaking our long established laws?

I can tell you when. When we elected a bunch of power hungry, reckless politicians and yes that unfortunately goes right into both houses of Congress and 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, I'm sorry to say.

On the one hand we put people in prison, and rightfully so, for breaking and entering. Yet we let illegal aliens break and enter every day on our international borders.

The politicians claim that a bill giving amnesty to unknown millions of illegals would be good for the economy of our country, that they take jobs that Americans won't do. That they work for lower wages and that should send
an undeniable signal right there who wants this legislation. Big business can dilute the labor market, bring wages down and finish the job started by NAFTA and moving their manufacturing plants out of the country that buys the
    bulk of their product.

The only other group who would benefit are the politicians who are salivating over the new voters they can pick up. It could well be the death of an effective two party system, yet many of the republicans are going along as naive as sheep being led to slaughter. Which in effect they are.

Just how long do you think that these millions of new citizens are going to take the low paying jobs when they find out they can make a living accepting the entitlements the politicians will be willing to lay at their doorsteps?
    Can you say welfare state?

All these greedy politicians want to do is stay in power, the hell with the American economy, the hell with the small businessman and the hell with what most of the people who pay the bills in this country think and want.

Do you think that Ted Kennedy suffers when the economy goes south? Do you think he worries about crime in the street? Ever hear of the Kennedy compound in Hyannis, Mass?

A word of warning, some very powerful politicians, including the President, are determined to pass an immigration bill one that in my opinion, could well change the United States from the world's last super power to another
also ran. One who does not enforce it's laws and invites anybody who wants to come on in and help break America.

The only thing wrong with the laws we have on the books now is that our elected officials refuse to enforce them.

So what makes them think we'd trust them to enforce a new set of immigration laws, even bad ones?

Well I don't know about you but I'm mad and I'm not going to forget which way my Congressmen and Senators vote. In Tennessee we have one Senator and several Congressmen who will have to go through an election this coming year and I'm going to make sure that I'm in a voting booth to let my opinion be known.

I would strongly advise you to do the same thing.

    Pray for our troops

    The Path To Chaos

For the first time in my life I am seriously worried about the future of the land I love.

It seems that the politicians we sent to Washington to represent us have either taken leave of their senses or are so out of touch with their constituencies that they seem to live on another planet.

The hottest button issue in the country is the pandemic illegal immigrant problem that plagues every facet of American life these days and yet the Congress, Senate and the President seem intent on passing a piece of
legislation which could well have America taking the first steps toward becoming a third world nation.

They would never admit it but what is being proposed would grant amnesty to somewhere between twelve and fifteen million illegals, we can't be sure of the number since nobody knows how many have come unlawfully crossed our borders.

The bill in its present form is ridiculous even for a bunch of jaded politicians and Harry Reid and company tried to slip it through without the American people knowing what was in it and what is in it is asinine.

But this is not a monarchy, Mr. Reid. This is the United States of America and here it's by the people and for the people no matter how hard you try to circumvent it.

Can you imagine what the addition of twenty million people or more would do to the economy of this nation?

They tell us that social security will go broke in a few years and we all know the mess Medicare is in and many of these people upon becoming citizens would immediately become eligible for all the entitlement programs and you
know that the majority would quickly take advantage of that.

It would also reduce the 700 miles of border fence to 375 miles.

The fine for companies knowingly hiring illegal aliens is $25,000 on the first offense and $75,000 on the third. This bill would reduce the fine to $5,000.

They say they would pass stringent new laws to keep things above board. But you know that's a crock. They don't even enforce the laws we have on the books now. If they did we would have no illegal alien problem.

The estimated cost of Washington's folly? An estimated 2.5 trillion dollars over the next few years. And where is this money coming from? Why much higher taxes of course, there's no other place for it to come from.

More entitlements and higher taxes, a Democrat's dream.

This is a bipartisan issue with sell out Republican support but the power hungry Democrats would reap the lion's share of the benefits.

And one other little point it seems that nobody much is thinking about. This bill would cover illegal aliens, not just Mexican illegal aliens. How do you feel about citizen terrorists?

I don't believe even the out of control Congress has guts enough to pass the bill in its present form but you can bet your boots that they are not going to give up on this.

I've called both of my Senators' offices and let my feelings be known and I will be sure to let them be known in the voting booth.

    Pray for our troops.
