There's a comment section right after the article.

I think one of Lindsey's advisor's should give him the suggestion of not speaking anymore. It just gets him in more trouble.

Once again, our Senators comments has allowed the red carpet to roll between the mexico and US borders. Hey Lindsey, why not just say you are sorry and all of mexico can come on over, Displace American jobs, and remove us from our homes. That is basically the equivilant of your remarks. I cannot believe our own Senator has damaged our state this way. He should go to jail for treason.

Litttle Lord Lindsey Fauntleroy is digging his own hole. We will certainly have any easy time of it next year in running him out on a rail.

Sen. Graham is just following his model politician when he does the softshoe dance like this. I guess it depends upon what your definition of "corrupt" is. How a guy like this was ever elected in this state is beyond me, he belongs in a place where speaking out of the side of your mouth is considered appropriate. Sen. Graham has helped me in the next election cycle though, all I will have to do is pick the best of his competitors, because he has already eliminated himself from the selection process in my opinion.

Maybe when Senator Grahamnesty finds himself without a job in January, 2009, he can get a job driving a bus back and forth to the border delivering more and more refugees from "non-corrupt Mexico" to the upstate.

    Ha! Senator.

If you don't think the Mexican government is corrupt, try to conduct business down there. You'll find that a large part of your cost of doing business will be bribes paid to government officials so that your products and equipment can be moved to its destination.

Corruption is way of life down there.

I think Wayne meant to refer to Lindsay as light in the shoes rather than soft shoe. The rumor is that Hustler has the goods on our Senator.

"Wayne" remember that the concervative, christian, cant do any wrong Republicans in this state put Graham into office. Now tell me why would any of you think that just governments to the south of us are corrupt. What about our state and federal government???? Its the good old boys network. Is there any reason why Haliburton gets billions of dollars from the government in no bid contracts???? Could it have anything to do with Cheney used to run the company????? Hurricane Katrina victims left with no food and water for days while the President was on vacation. People today are still unable to get assistance or rebuild???? You dont have to look far for corrupt governments, just look at how it works in our own country.

To say that Mexicos government is not corrupt you would have to be dumb as stump.

Someone should tell Graham to stop digging his political grave is past six feet now.

It's all about perception. Most likely, based on Lindseyanna's own definition of corruption, Mexico probably isn't a corrupt state.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's strange that Graham feels compelled to apologize to Mexico, but has not felt compelled to apologize to the majority of his constituents that he called BIGOTS for opposing his amnesty bill. He is still suckung up to Mexico. WHY?

Lindsey Graham is too busy trying once again to play both sides of the fence. (Probably one of the reasons he had to be forced to support a fence. ) I guess he could not stand being right, which he was for just a hour or so. He was right when he first said the reason we have such an immigration problem is that the 'majority' of illegals are coming from corrupt governments and he included Mexico in the naming.

He then flipped and once again he has flopped. Now he quickly clarifies'Oh Mexico is not corrupt' Lindsey appears to have been smoking some of those southern border burritos. Lindsey appears to be too worried about what Mexico thinks of him and at least now that he has cleared the air, he has received democratic approval.

Mexico is not corrupt? He's going against 500,000 Mexicans who marched in Mexico City against crime and corruption several years ago. Or maybe he hasn't read Narco News that exposed the money laundering and cocaine trafficking of people associated with Salinas, Fox, and Banamex.

In Hoover's column today, Graham blamed Ron Paul supporters for his censure and said they were a small group. He must not read or watch TV since most Americans were against the pseudo-amnesty plan especially many here in South Carolina. Many of this group supported Jim DeMint's stance against the legislation, too.

Now, he's putting on the pretense of supporting border security first. Lou Dobbs discussed that one tonight. Dobbs also mentioned the censure.

Our federal government is completely corrupt so if Mexico can always say "the pot is calling the kettle black." Mexico can say "look how much influence our government, illegal immigrants, and big business has over your government."

    >>>"How a guy like [Graham] was ever elected in this state is beyond me..." - Wayne

Polling Corruption! That's how! (Most likely...)

    http://forumctx.topix.net/state/ga/2007 ... -system#c1

Because yes, I do not believe there are enough people who are stupid enough to vote for somebody like Graham. I mean yes, there are SOME, but I just don't think so.

Furthermore, I don't think that 99% of Democrats or Rupublicans would ever stand a chance of winning anything if not for Polling Corrupiton and the such. Because like I said, people just aren't that stupid.

It is a very serious matter that everybody needs to learn about. I only started learning about it last November. (Some things within the South Carolina election lead me to some things that got me started learning about it...)

It has happened in at least 12 cases that I know of, in at least 5 states that I know of. Not to mention hundreds of cases where I suspect it had happened.

Anyway, this is indeed something that EVERYBODY needs to start learning about. Because they cannot do this to us unless we continue to let them!

Is anyone really surprised by this? We South Carolinians sure aren't! Ever since we lit a fire under Lindsey over supporting that "Shamnesty" bill, he's been wiggling around like a snake on hot asphalt! He'll tell the truth one minute, and confuse it with a lie the next, but that's Lindsey; confront him about a position, and he can back out of it so fast he'd put a scared crawfish to shame!

Now in this latest episode, Lindsey did something unusual for him; why, he actually told the truth! Of course, soon as his friends at La Raza called, well, he went back to being the same old lying Lindsey we've come to know. Mexico is not a corrupt country, eh? Well, if Lindsey would just go down there and try to transact any business, the number of officials he'd need to bribe would make the corruption in D.C. look positively ethical by comparison! Hell, by Mexican standards, even Lindsey, Teddy, and all their lobbyist pals are pure as the driven snow, and innocent as babes in the wood!

Now a lot of folks are worried down here about not having some big-name candidate willing to run against Lindsey, what with that 4 million dollars he's already raised for his campaign, but the way I see it, if they were to run a one-eyed, one-eared, three-legged, flea-ridden, mangy, yellow cur dog against Lindsey, doggone if I wouldn't prefer to vote for the dog!

What you have to understand is how would many members of our congress recognize "corrupt?"

Hmmm Mexico not corrupt? OK? And who printed this one?
Oh and let me guess Columbia ain't corrupt either?

The fact is that not only is Mexico corrupt, so is all of Central America and most of South America! Lets not touch on the other side of the world but the most corrupt nations are the ones in the Southern Hemisphere!

All though we have a corrupt nation but at least we get "somethings" out of out country's top 1%.

But to make this a more broader statement all nations in the world are corrupt in one way or another? Same goes for big businesses too which IMO are more corrupt then the governments they do business in!!!
Our country's founders cherished liberty, not democracy.

2004 news, but nothing has changes.

Google; Mexico’s corrupt government continues with Calderon.

    Finance, Mexican Style:
Parasite state perfected as dollars head south

The super-rich elite and political hierarchy of Mexico have figured out the ideal way to keep their country afloat with minimal investment on their part. In fact, the worse these corrupt cronies run their country, the better the scam works. Talk about creative financing!
    It works like this:
the Mexican government fails to make minimal investment in infrastructure, education and employment, thereby forcing the most energetic (and desperate) of its citizens to leave the country to seek work in the U.S. The Mexican expats then send home a rather tidy amount — estimated to be over $14 billion annually. Remittances constitute the second-highest source of hard-currency income for Mexico althouigh el Presidente Fox remarked in September 2003 that remittances "are our biggest source of foreign income, bigger than oil, tourism or foreign investment." Of course, this is $14 billion which has left the American economy, just as surely as if it were a trade deficit.
While many of these American dollars go toward basic living costs for relatives, some also paves roads, digs wells and builds infrastructure — expenses which are generally considered the job of government. But not in Mexico.
It is estimated that there are around 20 million Mexicans living in the U.S., so we are talking about many small remittances — foreign aid financed by busboys and maids. Therefore the prosperity of the cash-sending workers is important to politicians because it means a secure cash flow for Mexico. It naturally helps when little items like healthcare are financed by American taxpayers since it leaves more money available for remittances. No wonder that the Mexican government complains about such things: it says Mexicans in the U.S. are shown “disrespectâ€

    Graham said:

The people who are coming here from Central America, Mexico and other places have one thing in common -- they are impoverished and their governments are mainly corrupt."
Graham meant what he said, and he knows it. What a coward to back off of his own statement just because LaRaza bullies him. SPINLESS CREEP.
