Immigration and Customs Enforcement won't act on tip
I joined this site because I see now that the USA has a major problem with immigration. I gave them a tip about some illegal aliens working in the USA, for a major bank in downtown Manhattan, and they have yet to do anything about it.
Let me tell you the story.
I am Canadian and live in Canada. I had a job with a company that had a contract with a bank in Manhattan. Most of the work was supposed to be done in Canada, but about 4 of the people who run the project decided that they wanted to live in the USA instead, so they just moved there.
They lied to US Customs at the airport, and moved their families to Manhattan with them. The company, which I no longer work for, paid for their families' apartments in Manhattan.
The bank could hire Americans to do the same thing since these people are there full time. They don't come back to Canada at all. they have been there for 5-6 months.
What's more, when I went there for 1 week to meet the people at the bank, I noticed that my co-workers were hidden in a room that had a sign on it that pretended that it was a washroom being repaired. I also noticed many Indian people who had just arrived in the USA for a stay of one year, although there were no H1B visas available at all for this year at that point. I think that there are dozens of illegal workers working in that very big bank in Manhattan!
Since I pay every parking ticket I ever get, I figure that people flouting the law like this is just not fair.
I alerted US Customs and Immigration Enforcement at the closes border town to the Canadian city I live in, but they weren't interested. Then I wrote to ICE at Federal Plaza in Manhattan, but my ex-coworkers are still illegally in the US.
What else can be done?
What you don't seem to understand
is that this very large bank is somehow saving money by having these people there in the USA. they would rather pay Canadians to work illegally in the USA then hire Americans.

Use a Pay Phone.
Call DEA. Tipline
Describe the room and suggest they are selling crack and meth there . . .  When DEA raids the place they have to turn over the illegals to ICE.
