Immigration and Customs Enforcement won't act on tip
I joined this site because I see now that the USA has a major problem with immigration. I gave them a tip about some illegal aliens working in the USA, for a major bank in downtown Manhattan, and they have yet to do anything about it.
Let me tell you the story.
I am Canadian and live in Canada. I had a job with a company that had a contract with a bank in Manhattan. Most of the work was supposed to be done in Canada, but about 4 of the people who run the project decided that they wanted to live in the USA instead, so they just moved there.
They lied to US Customs at the airport, and moved their families to Manhattan with them. The company, which I no longer work for, paid for their families' apartments in Manhattan.
The bank could hire Americans to do the same thing since these people are there full time. They don't come back to Canada at all. they have been there for 5-6 months.
What's more, when I went there for 1 week to meet the people at the bank, I noticed that my co-workers were hidden in a room that had a sign on it that pretended that it was a washroom being repaired. I also noticed many Indian people who had just arrived in the USA for a stay of one year, although there were no H1B visas available at all for this year at that point. I think that there are dozens of illegal workers working in that very big bank in Manhattan!
Since I pay every parking ticket I ever get, I figure that people flouting the law like this is just not fair.
I alerted US Customs and Immigration Enforcement at the closes border town to the Canadian city I live in, but they weren't interested. Then I wrote to ICE at Federal Plaza in Manhattan, but my ex-coworkers are still illegally in the US.
What else can be done?

Some people have no regard for the law and just thumb their nose at it at every turn. It just boggles my mind and I'll never understand it!
There's consequences in my city if you don't pay your parking ticket. You might find your car "booted" one day.

Can anyone give me any advice on what else I can do?
I hear about these ex-coworkers happily living in NYC and it really pisses me off that some people can get away with breaking the law this way.

Well you could try and contact Canadian Customs and Immigration or this Canadian Border Service Agency so if they ever come back to Canada through an offical point of entry they will be caught.

Welcome, Mitch. By later tonight, you will have received some very good suggestions on what to do. For now, my suggestions would be:
Contact ICE again
Contact Homeland Security
Turn the info in to any local TIPS hotline
Try VDARE
Don't give up. Later tonight I'm sure you will recieve more information.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Mitch,
Call your congressional representative and ask them to start a constituent service file. Tell them you have filed the reports and you want that congressional office to look into why your report of a crime is not being addressed.
That may light a fire and get something done.

Hi Mark! Welcome to ALIPAC. I understand how pissed off you feel when you see those coworkers ilegally living in the United States and that nobody does nothing in order to stop it. I´m in favour of immigration as I think it enriches the local culture and helps to diversify the economy, but, of course, I support legal immigration and abhore the illegal one.
Want my piece of advise? Well, apart from doing just what other forum colleagues told you, why don´t you suggest your former coworkers to go to Foreign Immigration www.foreignimmigration.com where they will receive helpful information on how to become legal American residents?

What you don't seem to understand
is that this very large bank is somehow saving money by having these people there in the USA. they would rather pay Canadians to work illegally in the USA then hire Americans.
