Protect U.S. citizens, not illegals
Protect U.S. citizens, not illegals
Jan 14, 2008
Dear Editor: On Nov. 11, my whole world was turned upside down, when my precious 20-year-old daughter was killed in a car accident. The other driver, an illegal immigrant with no license, was on the wrong side of McFarland Boulevard and hit her head-on. He had an alcohol level three times the legal limit. He was injured and has been charged with murder.
Every time I read the news lately, there are articles about public forums dealing with the rights that these illegal immigrants have to be “served and protectedâ€Support our FIGHT AGAINST illegal immigration & Amnesty by joining our E-mail Alerts at https://eepurl.com/cktGTn

Unfortunately our government does nothing to protect American citizens and legal residents. Currently they are looking at hiring retired immigration workers to clear the backlog of citizenship applications which are predominently legal hispanics so they can vote for canidadates that are for amnesty. There are thousands in a back log for work permits that are awaiting their greencards and yet they are being put on hold. At least if they got work permits they could work and not suffer or be forced to work illegally to make ends meet. The government has no sympathy or rewards for those playing by the rules. I can honestly say that you are better off being an illegal than an immigrant playing by the rules. I have relatives going through the process and they are the ones getting screwed.

"To Protect and Serve" is the motto of the Los Angeles Police Department
This is why I'm confused. I don't know why so many people say illegal immigration is not their business. That its a federal problem.
So who is protecting us from the illegals? Isn't that one reason we have a police department? Or is it just selective protection only?

Just today, a good friend of mine told me that last week his brother was DECAPITATED and his little nephew is in CRITICAL condition because a DRUNK driver RAN a RED light RIGHT into their car!

First off, it pains me to read and hear about these things. My sympathies go out to all that have been effected in such unfair ways.
These car accidents are such a common occurance that it would be funny if it wasn't so serious. My daughter in her early teens asked me about some of the same issues in this thread. A 7 year old was recently killed by an illegal in my town a few days ago along with a rash of other fatalities involving illegals. All within a weeks period. Possibly because of a brief spurt of warmer weather. As I was almost run off the road by someone who could not see over the dashboard, paper license plates, and a Honda no doubt my daughter piped in and started to talk about illegal immigration and asking my why the government doesn't do something about it. She knows what is going on. With some sensitivity I explained to her about not having a drivers license, being able to read the signs, probably never driven before, etc.
Maybe a protest is in order with pictures of the victims and posters with numbers of people killed. I'm not for the Iraqi war, but I can not stand these anti-war people who are pro-illegal. We lose more people on this soil to illegal immigration than we do in the Iraq war...and proof for this would only need to include the homocides. If you tally the road fatalities the numbers would be astronomical.<div>"You know your country is dying when you have to make a distinction between what is moral and ethical, and what is legal." -- John De Armond</div>

When Jack Kennedy held office he stated the "total number" of immigrants coming to America per year should be between 150,000 to 250,000. We now have over 300 million people, we are no longer an industrial nation rather we outsource, and import poor under educated people and over 50% of minority students drop out of high school.
Young people in this nation should be outraged at what their future holds, but college professors have pushed the left view of life for many years and it is working.
We have taken GOD out of the schools, it is no longer correct to be proud of America or salute the flag. While I am not a religious nut people need a center on which to hold on to that no longer exist in America.
I see young people coming out this election but who will they vote for simply because of someone's color or there gender. If we want to hold on to America we need to teach and become proud of this country and willing to fight to hold on what we have built. Simply greedy American corporations want to eliminate our borders, dumb down our education level and make nothing more then slave labor and consumers for junk products.
I urge all to write their Representatives to start with and let them know how you feel because certainly up to this point they are not listening.
I'm sorry if it sounds like a rant but my family/ancestors have been in every war since the beginning of this country and to see it simply given away to China, Mexico and others is too much to bear.I'm old with many opinions few solutions.

The problem here is that we have a moron president who likes the illegal criminals. Also we have a small handfull of sell out senators who are pro-illegal and will not look at the horror stories of American citizens killed at the hands of these illegals. How much many more innocent people have to be hurt or killed by these invaders before anyone takes notice?
