    Selective Service Registration-useful tactic

Thanks to the tip from another reader about this. Apparently non-citizen males are also required to be registered with Selective Service. I have often been a pamphleteer in the past--and can translate into Spanish with Alta Vista. I need to get exact legal information correct--but the SSS site does have a notice posted to immigrant service groups ...thanks!!! Bet they didn't know this one.

Warnings handed out at these "immigrant rights rallies" would have an uproarious effect, I'm sure. (lol)

It should also get young American men who have registered in acdordance with the law reallllly pissed!!!! (lol)

It should get US veterans--even liberal ones--really P.O.d

I gotta think of the best strategy to play this card--if indeed it is one that should be played. I'm just thinking of a million ways this info could really be startegically effective.(roflol))

    Here's the govt info:

I'm not sure what you mean. Are you saying they will have to register with the Selective Service Board in case they need the draft again? Hey Charlie Rangle wants to do that. Look out senors you'll be on the front lines.

You would need to get a help from a trustworthy Latino friend because the automatic computer translations I have seen of Spanish are particularly bad.
I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

I think he is saying letting them know they will need to register for the draft will have a chilling effect on the support for this bill.

I am not saying that so much regarding the bill. I am saying that in regards to younger men who have recently sneaked in here. The SSS statement is also addressed to "service groups" i.e. private organizations working with them.

Whatever illegal immigrants know about this country they have to know that, right now, we are at war. To be informed that they could possibly be conscripted would have a worrisome effect. Precisely how to play those cards I'm thinking over. And what it takes to get someone to voluntarily leave the US is a complicated thing; each person or family will make their own decision.

    As an example:
I just saw a video on YouTube that was rather disturning: Muslim mortar crew firing at British soldiers with Muslim music in background. If you start looking at YouTube there are some pretty outrageous videos on there. And I have the video equipment to show it on a large scale. I think this would put a scare in a lot of "migrant wokers" who think the US is nothing but a big picnic basket to be raided. They wil find out differently. Presented when there is already a tense atmosphere somewhere, might get some of them started home. I have been observing that with significant bad news there are many that duck their heads, unsure of what will happen next. Cunning as they are, these Third World guys just aren't tough enough to suvive in the US under really stressful conditions. They are just too simple minded for a sophisticated society. So that is the challenge if legislative tactics don't succeed: outsmart 'em to get 'em to go.

I need to do some more research and find out the full extent of the SSS law: who is responsible to do what or to inform whom and what are the penalties. The SSS system is manned by volunteers, but there has to be some US Attorney oversight somewhere, too.

These illegal men are lawbreakers . . . do you honestly think they would respect a 'law' and sign up for selective service???

Well!! (with tongue planted firmly in cheek) If they don't abide by the law and register for the draft, they might be arrested and even DEPORTED for violating U.S. law.
