    With all due respect, I'd rather live in a cave in Crete, then bow my head to a Political union between Uncle Sam, and the Pope.
    I totally agree. My point being you cannot have it both ways , which is the position of the church. Government cannot declare preference of one religion over another , but The Church seems to believe they can prefer , and better yet actually control and influence the the destiny of the Government towards a particular direction . At this point they cease to enjoy the status that makes them Tax exempt , at the very least. Churches have NO place becoming PAC's or funding them.
