    RNC's Dowd redefines "Amnesty"

Matthew Dowd of the Republican National Committee effectively re-defined "amnesty". Or tried to. This voter doesn't buy it.

On Friday 5/26 acording to http://www.opinionjournal.com/diary/?id=110008446 he:

circulated a memo [ ... which] said. "Voters don't consider granting legal status to those already here amnesty."
Maybe we should have a vote on that, Mr Dowd.

Doud is just a mouthpiece for that boob bush. It's exactly what I'd expect him to say.
They think if they keep saying that the legalization of 12 million illegals isn't amnesty, we'll eventually agree with them. Actually all they're accomplishing is ticking us off even more. Each time I hear "it isn't amnesty", my blood pressure goes higher and higher and I think even less of bush (not sure that's possible).

So far, the White House and Republican National Committee are behind the curve. Last Friday, the RNC circulated a memo by Matthew Dowd, a strategist who worked on both of President Bush's two campaigns. "The comprehensive approach that emphasizes both security and compassion is unifying, not polarizing. It is supported by Republicans, independents and Democrats," the memo said. "Voters don't consider granting legal status to those already here amnesty."
MR DOWD, THESE ILLEGALS ARE IN OUR COUNTRY ILLEGALLY! WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH YOU?
BEING COMPASSIONATE IS NOT INHUMANE, IT IS PROTECTING THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, REMEMBER THEM MR DOWD????
CONGRATULATIONS, TIME FOR A NEW CAREER PATH, MR DOWD!
RIP Butterbean! We miss you and hope you are well in heaven.-- Your ALIPAC friends

They say it is not amnesty cause the illegals will pay a stiff fine of $2,000. Bit deal, they can earn that in one drug deal or bank robbery.

So they have to pay for their amnesty. I didn't know it was so cheap to be a citizen. Who wouldn't scrounge up 2,000 bucks to become a citizen and get all of the benefits?

Here's an idea: We need to get any and all Americans to take these jobs so that there won't be any job openings for the illegals and guest workers. Oh, they would probably CREATE jobs for them because they want them here so badly.

Is government supposed to be compassionate? When did this start.

I think Mr. Dowd needs to talk to some middle class Americans. He would very quickly see how asinine his statement was.

That is in the Senate bill, the tough penalties the poor illegal will have to pay to become legal. McCain/Bush/Kennedy say this is why it is not amnesty. They must pay a $2,000. fine and back taxes. They call this a tough penalty, lol. Taxes will be nothing of course, since there are about 100 working off of one social security number.

Chapter 47 of Title 18, United States Code, relating to identity fraud, and for other purposes.

    (7) knowingly transfers or uses, without lawful authority, a means of identification of another person with the intent to commit, or to aid or abet, any unlawful activity that constitutes a violation of Federal law, or that constitutes a felony under any applicable State or local law;''.

Ask your Senator if this Felony is counted toward the Senate Bills provision that Felons will not be on the "Path to Citizenship". If not WHY? If NOT do we legal citizens get a pass on a non-violent felony like Tax Evasion?
