    BILL MAY DIE IN SENATE!!

Listening to Sean Hannity this afternoon and he mentioned that the Senate may be taking a vote on the Immigration Reform Bill (AMNESTY BILL) today or tomorrow! Apparently there is a plan by the conservative Republicans to kill the bill if it passes by exercising a constitutional procedure called "blue slipping" the bill.

What that means is that because there are elements in the bill that are of a budgetary nature, the bill can be "blue slipped", which kills the bill and they have to start all over. Apparently any bill with financial elements in it need to be originated in the House...not the Senate!

Keep the emails, faxes and calls going!!! We have them on the run! Let's try to kill this thing in the Senate without it having to go to the House!

It gets blue-slipped in the House, not the Senate. Since the House has been screaming about this plan from the rooftops for the last 24 hours, I think they've given the Senate adequate warning about what needs to be changed in the bill to prevent blue-slipping.
It's like hell vomited and the Bush administration appeared.

The Senate is not in session this week. Hannity is very negative about the Senate killing the bill.

KEEP THE PRESSURE ON THE SENATE. THEY DON'T BELIEVE US YET!!!!

    Right.

How about this, include the back-tax provision. That way the greedy pieces of filth can get more money, but Americans are just as angry - just like they like it!

This also surfaced in last year's S2611 evolution too.
The House was very quick to jump on that fact last year as well.

Many of the senators are suffering from anal-cranial inversion.

I've been calling my Senators twice a day. Senator Brown's staff continues to ask for my zip code. I've given them several from central OH.

Sen. Voinovich's office no longer inquires about my zip code. I suspect he wants to vote in favor of this bill. He supported the Senate's bill last year.
Since we are both Catholic, I've informed his office the Catholic Church is WRONG to support this legislation. If the church was to give aid to someone that needs it, fine, but they also need to buy them a bus ticket home.

I am sending an i.o.u. to the church in place of my monthly check until they get out of the business of harboring criminals. They understand that.

Either way, we MUST keep our efforts up and really crank up the intensity.

The House has been very vocal about how bad this bill is. No matter. We want to kill this bill in the Senate so it never gets to the House!

    Keep it up folks!
Keep up the hard work and bring a new level of intensity to your efforts!
