Foxnews just had Sen. Warner, Va. on talking about Iraq lawmakers wanting to give amnesty to the insurgents.

Said it's awful that they would give amnesty to criminals!!!!!

What about him giving illegals amnesty...they are criminals too!

You expect these clowns to be consistent?

Remember, GWB Himself has said that it's crucial that we seal Iraq's borders. Of course, that doesn't apply here.

What gets me is that you never, ever see anyone in the press asking a question about this.

This is NOT surprising in the least.

If you look at the Master Plan to rebuild Iraq, Americans are paying for the nation of Iraq to have a WORLD CLASS border security system and some 28,000 border patrol/military personel protecting said border.

Do the math...based on the number of border guards Iraq is getting based on it's population compared to America, we should have around 300,000 guarding our ports and borders.

On the other hand, I can see how the White House could spin this to their advantage, should it happen.

After all, if Iraq is willing to give amnesty to murderous terrorists, shouldn't we as a nation of immigrants be willing to do the same for those good-hearted folks whose family values don't stop at the Rio Grande who only come here do the jobs Americans won't do, and it's not amnesty anyway because they have to earn it and pay a fine, and we can be both a welcoming nation and a nation of laws, and after all, they were here first and they didn't cross the border, the border crossed them.

Maybe when Bush took his trip to speak to the new leaders of Iraq, he whispered in their ear just how to give Amnesty, after all he is so good at it hisself! This is probably the reason he went to Iraq.

Their proposal is for:
AMNESTY ONLY TO INSURGENTS THAT HAVE ATTACKED US TROOPS!

NOT to insurgents that have attacked Iraqis.
