    Irving Mayor Herbert Gears

Irving Mayor Herbert Gears said the ID cards could prevent only a few arrests, but he promised to meet monthly with Consul Enrique Hubbard Urrea to review any complaints stemming from the city's Criminal Alien Program
Consul Enrique Hubbard Urrea is one of the mexican counsel from Mexico.

why should he even have to speak to them - what even gives them a say in the matter of illegal immigrants and US Law.

I rec'd the following email today from Irving TX.........

The City of Irving appreciates your e-mail message. Please know that the city continues to operate its 24/7 Criminal Alien Program (CAP) in its current form. No modifications have been made, despite ongoing publicity and public comment about the program.

There are two valid forms of identification issued by the State of Texas: a Texas driver’s license and Texas identification card. These are the only two forms of identification that the City of Irving will accept with no additional investigation required.

Irving Mayor Herbert Gears, City Council members, Irving Police Department and city staff continue to make a concerted effort to educate the community about the CAP.

Should you need more information about the CAP, please log on to the City of Irving Web site at www.cityofirving.org for a question and answer brochure.

We have made no changes to this program and we have no plans to do so.
