Why not pass constitutional amendments?
A couple of years ago when people thought gays were getting too big for their britches constitutional amendments were passed in several states outlawing gay marriage. Why don’t we do the same for illegal immigrants? You know no social services for non-citizens etc.…? Surely people are a lot angrier over this crisis than they were over gay people being allowed to marry. I have a feeling all parties would go for it.

Good idea. Our states can do alot internally as Georgia has done. Problem is there are alot of senators still spousing the same ol guest worker program crap. And avoiding the specific issues within the larger one. So thats it, untill we hammer them to conform to our will or vote them out, much of this will remain as is.
