The thing with Paul is that he will listen to what the people want. He is that much of a constitutionalist.

Ron Paul's attitude or constitutionalist position does represent what many of us feel is most appropriate for this constitutional republic. And all of the candidates have vacillated on positions from time to time, or at least some of their comments appear to be conflicting with their stated policy positions.
Long term, and based on actually getting a Republican in the White House & not an amnesty lover (only because most, if not all Democrats appear to be for amnesties), and based on the conservative tone "I" prefer, I am looking harder at Thompson. Huckabee is a man of faith & I do like that, but his record shows he may be pandering rather than actually taking positions he intends to keep once in office. Romney has the credentials, but has also done some less than conservative things in his time. With the exception of Tancredo (who has withdrawn), Duncan Hunter, & other true border control candidates, I see no candidate who can actually win the nomination other than Romney or Thompson. And Thompson's latest numbers do not look good for his long term prospects.
Its going to be tough making the choice between them & then backing whomever the people finally decide is the Republican candidate. Like I said, all I know is I do not want a socialist in office & most of the Democrats & their proposals represent socialism if I ever saw it. Many of the illegal aliens are escaping from a number of nations whose political systems are socialist & are failing them abysmally. That is why they are coming here. The problem is, if they get the vote, they will push the political system they are familiar with, not understanding it was the cause of their problems in their home countries!
Hope all voters pay real attention & make some good choices. This election is really an important one for this nation.

    Very well said

Given a vote , many illegals and SOME legals love socialism
Its what they are use to and feel comfortable with

The scary part is that they seem bent on turning this nation into
a parody of the one they escaped from

idk. If we don't get some REAL help in Washington. I just don't know what we will do. At this point I have a bad depression and sense of "All is lost". Where can a Patriot go to get the freedom our families have fought so hard for. My DAD fought so hard for. It's being flushed right down the toilet. There's no opposition to crazy laws, taxes. Nothing. I really pray the citizens of the US will start fighting back. I just don't see any real impact on anything so far. I email, email, email. I fax fax fax. I have ICE and all the agencies on speed dial.

All I want to do is keep my damn chickens and horses free from government interference.
