A LOT OF PEOPLE COMPARE OBAMA’S IRAN DEAL W/A SIGNIFICANT & VERY BAD MOMENT

THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE COMPARING OBAMA’S NEW IRAN DEAL WITH A SIGNIFICANT (AND VERY BAD) MOMENT IN HISTORY

    Nov. 25, 2013 8:03am Sharona Schwartz

Both Israeli lawmakers and conservative pundits have compared the deal over Iran’s nuclear program secured in Geneva this weekend with the Munich Agreement of 1938 in which European nations agreed to allow Nazi Germany to annex parts of Czechoslovakia.

Of the deal, then British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain declared his infamous phrase, “Peace for our time.” A year later, Adolf Hitler invaded Poland, revealing the folly of Chamberlain and his allies’ appeasement policy.
“Winds of Munich are blowing from Geneva,” Israeli Tourism Minister Uzi Landau told the Jerusalem Post.

Right-wing Member of Knesset Moshe Feiglin wrote, “The Iranian version of the Munich Agreement was just signed in Geneva. Like Czechoslovakia in 1938, which was not party to the Western powers’ discussions that effectively brought about its demise, Israel today watches from the sidelines as its existential interest is being sacrificed by the West.”
Member of Knesset Ayelet Shaked said, “As Chamberlain said: Everything would have been alright if Hitler hadn’t lied to me.”
Besides the Israeli politicians, an array of conservative American voices has been invoking the words “Munich,” “appeasement” and “Chamberlain” as analogies for the Obama administration’s quest for a deal with Iran, while bloggers have been posting side-by-side photos of the Geneva and Munich meetings and photo-shopped images of Obama and Chamberlain.
“Nothing good happens late at night, and America just had a modern-day Neville Chamberlain moment,” former Congressman Allen West wrote.
“President Obama has just empowered the number one state sponsor of terrorism, Iran, to pursue its nuclear goals and objectives,” West added. “This is not diplomacy, this is abject surrender and appeasement. Iran loses nothing, not a single facility, not any capability to enrich uranium, but we have conceded the one best non-military option: economic sanctions.”
“We have fallen for the biggest deception ever,” wrote West.
Middle East analyst Daniel Pipes wrote, “This wretched deal offers one of those rare occasions when comparison with Neville Chamberlain in Munich in 1938 is valid. An overeager Western government, blind to the evil cunning of the regime it so much wants to work with, appeases it with concessions that will come back to haunt it. Geneva and November 24 will be remembered along with Munich and September 29.”
At least two observers dubbed the deal “Munich 2.” For example, James Jay Carafano of the Heritage Foundation wrote a piece over at National Review with that title.
“What just went down in Geneva is, in fact, a replay of the greatest diplomatic tragedy of the 20th century. The Munich deal rested on the ridiculous notion that Hitler could be satiated. The new pact builds on the equally ludicrous idea that Iran would give up the means to build a nuclear weapon that will serve as the tip of its foreign-policy spear,” Carafano wrote.
“The British think the deal with Iran makes sense. Then, again, it was a British government that believed Munich meant we could all get a good night’s sleep now,” Carafano added.
The Joshua Pundit blog also called the deal “Munich 2.” It posted this black and white photo-shopped image of President Obama dressed as Neville Chamberlain.

Ben Shapiro of Breitbart believes the deal with Iran is “worse than Munich” in part because in 1938 Hitler had not made known his plans to exterminate European Jews while Iran has expressed a wish to wipe Israel from the map.
As talks were getting underway last week, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said Israel is “doomed to extinction.”
“The Zionist regime is a regime whose pillars are extremely shaky and is doomed to extinction,” Khamenei told Basij militia commanders.
Twitter, too, was filled with posts hash-tagged #Chamberlain, including these:

And drilling down further on the historical analogy, the Weekly Standard’s William Kristol posted excerpts from Winston Churchill’s speech in the House of Commons after the Munich Agreement.
“And do not suppose that this is the end. This is only the beginning of the reckoning. This is only the first sip, the first foretaste of a bitter cup which will be proffered to us year by year unless by a supreme recovery of moral health and martial vigour, we arise again and take our stand for freedom as in the olden time,” Churchill – who in 1940 succeeded Chamberlain as prime minister – said 75 years ago.
In the column he titled “Peace for Our Time,” Victor Davis Hanson wrote in the National Review, “There is not a good record, from Philip of Macedon to Hitler to Stalin in the 1940s to Carter and the Soviets in the 1970s to radical Islamists in the 1990s, of expecting authoritarians and thugs to listen to reason, cool their aggression, and appreciate democracies’ sober and judicious appeal to logic — once they sense in the West greater eagerness to announce new, rather than to enforce old, agreements.”

Krauthammer: US-Iran nuke agreement ‘the worst deal since Munich’

Posted on Monday, November 25th, 2013 at 9:34 pm.

    Video at the Page Link:

On Monday’s “Special Report” on the Fox News Channel, Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer condemned reports on the deal reached by the United States and its allies with Iran to stymie Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
According to Krauthammer, this agreement gives cover for Iran’s desire for nuclear capabilities, which in turn could undermine the “dam” holding back the spread of nuclear proliferation.
“It’s really hard to watch the president and secretary of state and not think how they cannot be embarrassed by this deal. Think about this, for half a dozen times, the Security Council has passed resolutions which said Iran has to stop all enrichment. Otherwise, there will be no change in the sanctions. No relief. Which means six times China and Russia, not exactly hardliners on Iran, have signed onto this. And what is the result of this agreement? Iran retains the right to enrich. It continues to enrich during the six months. It is promised a final deal in which we’re going to work out the details of its enrichment. And remember, enrichment is the dam against all proliferation. Once a country anywhere can start to enrich, there is no containing its nuclear capacity. So it undermines the entire idea of non-proliferation and it grants Iran a right it’s been lusting for, for a decade. That’s why there was so much jubilation in Tehran over this.”
Part of the deal allows for the unfreezing of $4 billion of assets for the Iranian regime, which is will be a boost for the current regime and the country’s struggling economy, in addition to leaving the door open for Iran’s program. And this deal according to Krauthammer is the worst deal since the 1938 Munich agreement during the prelude to World War II.
“Second, there is a relaxation of sanctions, which have really caused the country to hurt, to worry about the stability of the regime to come and negotiate. What happens on sanctions? There is going to be a huge infusion of cash, which can reduce the inflation, can alleviate the shortages. Already, the rial currency jumped 3 percent instantly as a result of this agreement. This is a huge relief for the Iranians and it can only increase over time. What do we get in return? I just heard the secretary of state say, we’re going to get a destruction of the 20-percent uranium. That is simply untrue. What is going to happen is the 20-percent enriched uranium is going to be turned into an oxide so it’s inoperative. That process is completely chemically reversible, which means Iran holds on to 20 percent uranium and can turn it into active stuff any time it wants. This is a sham from beginning to end. It is the worst deal since Munich.”

SOURCE: NETANYAHU SCOLDED OBAMA IN PHONE CALL ON IRAN DEAL

    by JOEL B. POLLAK 25 Nov 2013 8321 POST A COMMENT

    Video at the Page Link:

"The prime minister made it clear to the most powerful man on earth that if he intends to stay the most powerful man on earth, it's important to make a change in American policy because the practical result of his current policy is liable to lead him to the same failure that the Americans absorbed in North Korea and Pakistan, and Iran could be next in line."

That was the message conveyed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to President Barack Obama in a private telephone call Sunday to discuss the interim deal on Iran's nuclear program, according to a senior Israeli lawmaker in Netanyahu's ruling coalition, as reported by the Jerusalem Post.
The White House's own official statement on the telephone call made no mention of any disagreement being aired, merely referring to "their shared goal of preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon."
Meanwhile, Netanyahu said that he would send a high-level diplomatic team to the U.S. to lobby for a tough final agreement with Iran that sees that country's entire nuclear enrichment program dismantled.
In a development that may be related, British Foreign Secretary William Hague warnedIsrael not to interfere with the emerging deal, perhaps voicing a sentiment shared by Obama and other diplomatic partners.

Israeli PM Rips Obama Privately While Congress Punts

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ripped into President Obama over the Iran deal in a private phone call this weekend, reports the Jerusalem Post. As described by one ally of Netanyahu, Bibi told Obama he'd have to change course with Iran "if he intends to stay the most powerful man on earth." Sen. Harry Reid and Speaker John Boehner, meanwhile, have decided not to deal with the issue immediately, relaysCBS. Instead, according to The Hill, Congress will work on a measure to double sanctions on Iran if the nuke pact is not honored.

Secret ICBM being developed at the sametime of Geneva talks, what?

Obama's disciple John Kerry thinks this is a really great Iran Nuclear deal, but it is already looking like the Chamberlin joke.

    Kerry maybe thinking its the biggest success of his Sec. of State career, however it may surpass the Chamberlin deal in incompetency, and Kerry may have to hide his face from shame, and embarrassment if not horror if history is repeated. Video shows growing skeptism;

This video shows not everybody likes this deal especially Israel. There is real concern that this great deal will cause more violence.

The Washington Free Beacon reports this little bit of news that some may have overlooked.

Iranian missile technicians secretly visited North Korea as part of joint development of a new rocket booster for long-range missiles or space launchers at the same time nuclear talks took place in Geneva, according to U.S. officials.

Several groups of technicians from the Shahid Hemmat Industrial Group (SHIG), a unit in charge of building Iran’s liquid-fueled missiles, traveled to Pyongyang during the past several months, including as recently as late October, to work on the new, 80-ton rocket booster being developed by the North Koreans, according to officials familiar with intelligence reports.

This video confirms that North Korea is building one. North Korea sent a satellite up using a rocket they built.

Will John Kerry become our own Chamberlin? Hitler had Chamberlin fooled, is Iran doing the same with Kerry? What do you think of this Patriots? As the Washington Free Beacon reports this happening at the sametime the great deal is made. Chamberlin held up the agreement signed by him and Hitler for all to see, then WWII started right after.

US Shuts Down Vatican Embassy After Striking Deal with Iran

    Michael Schaus | Nov 27, 2013

What would you do next if you had successfully brokered a “Neville Chamberlin” style deal with a rogue state that wants to annihilate America and her Middle East allies? Well. . . You’d downgrade diplomatic ties with the Vatican, of course. At least, that’s what you would do if you were working in the Obama White House. The White House has recently announced that they will shut down the US Embassy to the Holy See, and relocate it to a “safer” location on the grounds of the American Embassy in Italy.
Officially, the US is explaining the relocation effort as a security measure in reaction to the attack on the American consulate in Benghazi. . . Because, ya know, those crazy Vatican Catholics are a naturally militant bunch. Heaven forbid someone makes an anti-Christian movie! Whoa, the whole place could erupt into a deadly string of mass prayers and forgiveness! (Ahem… Sarcasm.)
The decision on part of the US Administration to move the American Embassy is being interpreted by many as a slap in the face to the Vatican. At the very least, it is likely to produce a tension that will lead to a deterioration of US/ Vatican communication and cooperation.
Adding to the suspicion that America’s decision is primarily political, and not based in security concerns, is the fact that the current Embassy has state of the artsecurity. According to former US Ambassador James Nicholson, the current location is highly secure, and pivotal to continuing relations with the Holy See.
Besides: We’re talking about the US Embassy. . . In Vatican City. It’s not as if we’re discussing an un-fortified compound in the heart of a Libyan war-zone. (Cough*Benghazi*Cough) Here’s a solution: add a couple more Marines, and maybe borrow the Pope-Mobile for high profile visitors.
Suggesting that Obama is intentionally downgrading US/ Vatican ties due to some resentment toward Catholic policy would almost seem too petty to contemplate; until it is put into a broader perspective. The Holy See has proven, throughout the years, to be a monumental asset in world affairs. Our relationship with the Vatican aids in humanitarian missions, peace brokerage, and international trade with governments of all religious affiliations.
According to Nicholson, “This is anything but a good time to diminish the stature of this post. To diminish the stature of this post is to diminish its influence.” In an age where Obama’s allies in the Middle East include Taliban rebels and Al Qaida operatives, the timing seems even more precarious. When Iran feels emboldened on the world stage, when Israel feels threatened, and when Christians are finding the Middle East to be an ever-increasingly dangerous corner of the world, one would think the US Government would be bolstering its relationship with God’s emissary.
But. . . Maybe that’s the problem. Perhaps Obama is just a bit upset that the Catholic world headquarters hasn’t yet offered universal contraception to its female members. Or perhaps he’s a little unnerved about their use of the word “Christmas.” Or, maybe, he’s just feeling a bit irritated that the Pope consults God every day, rather than the White House.
Whatever the reason, the end result is the same: A sizeable devolution of US/ Vatican ties. Not to mention a marginal political fallout here at home. After all, Christians are less than pleased with the details of Obamacare, the repeal of “don’t ask don’t tell”, and the White House’s general disregard for religious liberty. So… What the heck? Go ahead and insult the Pope while you’re at it.
Furthermore, the move illustrates our President’s perspective on “right” and “wrong” when it comes to world events. It says something about the Administration’s world view when they champion an Iranian Nuclear deal that lifts sanction and emboldens our enemies the very same week they withdraw diplomatic ties from the Vatican.
At least When Neville Chamberlin was trotting around Europe declaring “peace in our time”, he was primarily naïve. That’s not necessarily the case with our current leader of appeasement.
Of course, then again, maybe the President is just trying to be fair. Maybe he didn’t want Israel to feel like the only religious sovereign-state to be snubbed by the US this week.
