Don’t Let Dobbs’ Departure Spoil Your Thanksgiving Weekend!

I believe that Lou Dobbs’ exchange with Telemundo's Maria Celeste proves only one thing: Celeste is an idiot. [Video]

For 20 of their 25 minutes session, Celeste berated Dobbs for misconstruing the statistics on immigrants with leprosy (he told her he made on an-air correction); his defense of Sheriff Joe Arpaio (Dobbs pointed out that Sheriff Joe had not been convicted of “civil rights abusesâ€

Dobbs said, without elaborating on his remark, that under certain circumstances he would favor amnesty. My interpretation: Dobbs means that if the border were successfully secured, he might support amnesty, depending on how the legislation were written.

That's not acceptable!

The border is not secure, and the government needs to firmly tell the illegal aliens that are here now to go home!

Since we quite watching Dobbs over a year ago, Dobbs showing his true colors certainly didn't spoil anything for me. While his views were interesting and at time even entertaining, I never trust anyone who is on CNN. Dobbs was using this revolution to make that almighty dollar, just like Glenn Beck, Hannity and Fox. When Dobbs resigned from CNN I honestly didn't care one way or another. His gravy train ran out because people just quite buying into his and CNN's act. For what ever reason Dobbs showed a long time ago that he didn't have the back bone to stand up for what he said he believed in because he literally talked about everything but illegal immigration. That is when he lost us, over a year ago.

As for supporting Dobbs in any office, as my wife says, when this country really needed someone other than Obama, Hillary and McCain, he sat back and did nothing. Dobbs had his chance to do something for this country but chose to take instead of give.

Now he wants to run for office and like many of us who once listened to him, we listen no more and certainly would not walk out the front door to vote for him.

As far as I am concerned Dobbs is just another TV huckster that ran his time in the lime light. The sooner he is gone from the lime light the better. Dobbs has chosen to do what every other unethical business is doing and that is pander to the Hispanics in hopes of getting a big payoff.

From what I've read, Dobbs has always taken a "secure the borders first" type of position, and has never really been an attrition supporter. And to this I say we have to remind him, as Dixie notes, the border is not secure and the Obama administration has ceased effective enforcement measures. So now is not the time to be talking about "pathway" amnesty (especially with our high unemployment rate) -- using Lou's own logic.

If we finally secured the borders and then legalized millions of illegals and they become voters then there goes those borders.

Any border security would be short lived.

And why would we legalize when we know that legalizing illegal aliens is part of an open borders plan to force the US Into an economic block that our team has dubbed the North American Union?

Lou's interview wreaked of contradictions and weakness. Lou Dobbs may have been strong enough to tackle these issue on the air but he may be proving too weak to lead.

Especially when it's finally revealed that there aren't 12 million, there's 30 million or more plus their offspring.

Has Dobbs clarified or expounded to ALIPAC or anyone on his interview with Telemundo?

I agree that his interview has contradictions. While I applaud his focus on illegal immigration & our unsecured border, Dobbs has to or should realize that his support of mass (legal) immigration would inevitably lead to more illegal immigration which has been the historical pattern.

And of course, who gets to define (not to mention maintain) a "secured border." We see how Napolitano is now, for political purposes, ridiculously defining the border as secure.
