Does trying to violate the sovereignty of our nation count as an impeachable offense? What if we started to get our city councils and state officials to denounce him? Crocket, Dixie, fellow Texans...

Yes, it may fail, but not for lack of trying. And make no mistake, I know that this event isn't the focus of ALIPAC any more than it is the focus of the Alamo Alliance....but time is not something we have much of, so at this late date, I'm not willing to let a fear of failing stop me, besides, as a team, our efforts here don't stop, they will go on, even with a VISUAL action.

There`s been talk about a protest in Wasington DC on this site.

Here’s what I’ve done: I’ve sent letters (like they care) to businesses that financially support La Raza and any business that encourages non assimilation (Press 1 to speak English). Will it make a difference? Probably not; I’m rather delusional. But perhaps if enough of us get off our collective rears and boycott these companies, something can be done. The problem I’ve run into is finding alternative businesses to supply my every day needs. You know the basics, internet access, cable TV, and alcohol.
Personally, I don’t like Piñatas, Mariachi bands, and food smothered in beans or anyone who finds being an American offensive.
I’m an American and I speak English. Got a problem with that? Press 2 to kiss my …
MaliceAlice, Welcome to the board ,
It looks like you`ve had your work cut out for you.
Agressive citizens like you is just what we need on this board.
we do "boycotting and write to Represenetives here also.

Man,Where's lou dobbs millions of viewers?....Hey lou, what the hell are you doing for the movement?...Lou dobbs needs to get out there and scream " you dont speak for me illegals!"..LOL hahahahahaha.
Man, I hope tancredo is ready for the fight because kennedy has already stated he will knock the movement's soft teeth down their whiny throat
Where's harold ford?..can you believe harold ford lost to a pro amnesty republican that bragged about hiring illegal immigrants? lol....Bob corker was like " im a pro illegal republican that beat a hard liner on immigration".
I’ve no sympathy for illegal aliens and their anchor babies. Regardless of how many side-show “raids” the worthless ICE purports, not a damn thing will happen to these illegal aliens; their anchor babies have guaranteed them a free pass to continually break our Laws. Never mind that baby was born on U.S. soil illegally.
I think what angers me most about the illegal alien issue is the absolute disregard by government officials/Law enforcement for our Rights as U.S. citizens in order to give illegal aliens their Rights. And so I ask; what damn Rights? Since when is an illegal alien afforded not just the same Rights as a U.S. citizen but more? Like, the Right to continually break our Laws and with no repercussions at all. I don’t get to break our Laws and not that I want to (nor have I) but this begs the question; who exactly is in charge here? We have illegal aliens dictating to our government/Law enforcement how things are going to be and getting away with it. Need I even ask; have we all lost our minds?
We have illegal aliens literally standing in the middle of American streets and shooting us all the proverbial middle finger while waving the Mexican flag. It boggles my mind that Law Enforcement (rather the oxymoron) just stands around watching and does absolutely nothing; which in turn is why they can and do openly protest.
In the meantime…U.S. citizens are paying twofold to support illegal aliens and their continual crimes against us. We pay through our taxes and then when we buy from businesses that financially support La Raza; and there are a great many businesses and major corporations that do.
Giving the finger and yelling comments are under the 1st Amendment, frredom of speech.
As for law enforcement, if they run someone and ICE has a deportation order or if the person was deported and is obviously bakc here, ICE must be notifeid and the person detained until they arrive. If an ilegal commits a crime and they are determined to be illegal then it must be written in the polcie report(s) and ICE gets notified.
Currently many illegals are being pulled over by the police as their license expired due to work visa expirary or they couldn't renew due to the new stricter laws requiring ID. They are driving around with expired tags and I seen a lot of it lately. Unfortunately more officers are needed on the roads to catch them as they are driving most often during the day. There are too few officers to be able to catch them as the only chance they get is if there aren't alot of calls or if they see it on the way to a non urgent call.
Welcome to Alipac Alice!
I totaly agree, I hate Mariachi bands. In fact, I feel Hispanic/Latino music is some of the worst every produce. They write like a three note song and play it over and over and over for 2 minutes. It all sounds like a merry-go-round but the record has a scratch and it keeps playing the same part over and over again. It stinks. Bad thing is, the next song played is that same three note song played backwards.
Dixie
Dixie, whats next,,,,,,,,,,,, vise grips?
lol   Keep em guessing Dixie!
Swatchick,
Before I’m labeled as a racist and kicked off this board; I’m simply possing the question of “some” Hispanic officers/agents and their resolve.
I understand that we're undermanned but what concerns me too is the answer to the question of how many of these police officers, border agents, and ICE agents are actually working for U.S. interests? In other words; there are a disproportionate number of Hispanic officers/agents (especially in and around the border towns) and I tend to wonder where their loyalties lie.
Perhaps it’s not so much a matter of being undermanned as it is the man-power we currently have?
Greetings Dixie and thanks for the welcome!
I’ll probably get myself banned from this board before too long. I tend to be pretty direct with the issue of illegal aliens and have been labeled a racist piglette on many an occasion. What I think is real racism is a group of people who’ve enter my country illegally and then insist I press 1 to speak my country’s language and then have a “special” press 2 button exclusively for them. The fact that this is even happing in the U.S. continues to boggle my mind and outrage me.
I’ve lived in many other countries (we’re military) and only in the United States do you find press 2 to speak an exclusive language catered solely to illegal aliens. I’m seriously worried that the continuation of catering to illegal aliens (and we all know for a fact that is expressly what the press 2 feature is for) will be the demise of what was once uniquely the American way of life. I don’t want to live in a socialist [edit] hole (Mexico), if I did, I’d move there or back to Europe. Yeah okay, I sound like an alarmist and so do feel free to call me paranoid. I am!
I just moved back to the United States in Oct. after many years living abroad and so the newness of being smacked with all of this has gotten my panties in a wad. Yes, I’m a whacked out woman on a mission and I refuse to allow my country to be turned into one giant Mexican barrio.
Okay, I’m done ranting…for now.
Having been an observer of this situation for a good number of years now, I can understand why people WANT to get to Washington and tell the misguided congressmen and senators, as well as the misguided president that we need something done and we need it done pronto.
Last spring, in my city thousands of people protested on behalf of the illegals and, of course, many of the people doing the protesting in this city were illegals themselves since they were bussed in from far and wide. Our congressman in this area may well be one of those politicians with dozens of illegal cousins in this country today. He definitely votes against anything and everything that will stop the flow or deport those already here!
Even though the media tried to cover up the mayhem, the sea of Mexican and communist flags, the crimes that took place as a sideshow of the few days of protest, even though the media tried to make the four or five anti-illegal protesters there look like they were troublemakers, the only thing the illegals achieved when they threw their tantrum was to make themselves look bad. Shortly after those nationwide protests where thousands of people who don't even belong in this country jammed up streets, thousands of Americans realized that this problem is truly a problem and more of them jumped on the band wagon to try to put a stop to illegal immigration. Even the people who paid the illegals' way to the rallies and offered them refreshment, transportation and encouragement realized they'd shot themselves in the foot by staging the protests.
I've been to several anti-illegal rallies and conferences in the past couple years. I've heard people bend the truth and tell out and out lies along with the bitter truth about what is happening to this country as a result of the growing number of illegal aliens here today. Many times, all those protests, rallies and public forums generated were sympathy for the illegal aliens in the eyes of the press.
Take for example, Tom Tancredo's sweep through the southwest followed around by a bunch of college kids in quest of the DREAM Act. The college kids got the press time and Tom Tancredo was painted as a racist who just wanted to pick on these poor illegal aliens who are going to school on our tax dollars or coming to take the "jobs Americans don't want!"
So, you tell me: what would the US citizens stand to gain if they get out there en masse and protest? I'm not so sure it wouldn't turn the tide back toward the illegals. And I can tell you from where I am sitting on this border that much progress has been made in spite of our congressman and our state senator who think it is OK for millions of illegals to march right across the border every year.
Five years ago, you wouldn't have even heard the term "illegal alien" mentioned on the news. It was as if they were all here legally and there is no distinction between criminals. Three years ago, the news wouldn't have dared to mention that the schools are full of illegal kids and there isn't a damn thing we can do about it because the Federal gov't says we have to let them go to school. The day they stuck the additional tax on homeowners to keep open a hospital in this city that was going broke from the number of illegals skipping out on their bills because the Federal Gov't says they have to be allowed treatment, nobody so much as hinted at the reason in the media. Now even the mayor of this city acknowledges the fact that 25% of the patients are illegal aliens who don't pay their bills!
I call that progress. It is coming an inch at a time but it is still progress. And even though the crybabies on the border still cry every time one of theirs gets busted, more and more of them are getting busted because law enforcement is stepping out of line more and more to arrest the people they were told not to arrest.
It’s easy to get really discouraged or really pissed when trying to make changes. I’ve spent the last month trying to find a bank to deposit my money (what little I have) that does not cater to illegal aliens. I cannot find one; not one. The same goes for my internet, cable, phone services. Sure I can live without these services but who wants to live without these conveniences? What ends up happening is I’m enabling these illegal aliens by doing business with these companies; because unless I want to go without these services, I’ve no choice. Rather the Catch 22.
I think many Americans are complacent because this issue [they think] hasn’t affected them or they simply don’t know what to do or they figure someone else will take care of it.
Is it akin to when the power goes out most people don’t call the electric company to report the outage because they figure, someone else has already called and taken care of it. That, and change means making sacrifices. Who the hell wants to be making those sacrifices if nothing comes of it?
Here is my answer to the question regarding law enforcement and sympathy. I would personally say that the large majority of the people do their job and don't pick sides. Many children or grandchildren of Cuban immigrants can't stand all the political stuff the parents brought over here and they feel that if they want to do something, do it over there. They don't like hearing them whine about things going on over there as they know it won't accomplish anything. Most of them speak Spanish but only in their own homes or when a Spanish speaking person is required. They have assimilated. Many of them would be like African American officers who treat their own the same if not harsher than others.
Then you have a small percentage of those who have sympathy and may be a little more lenient if they have any discretion in the matter. These people are also not always their own. I have heard some officers say that they won't pull over illegals for minor traffic offenses as they feel that they are only here to make a better life for themselves and their family.
An example would be that some officers won't pull over a car that they feel is driven by an illegal for a light bulb being burnt out. I personally don't agree with that as it is discrimination against others such as single moms who can't afford to have someone replace it for them right away.
There are some people who are corrupt and do get caught doing illegal things to help their own people. I have read immigration employees getting caught for doing illegal things to help out their own people.
The only thing that really worries me is the number of Cubans that keep making land in Florida. There are articles in the paper about the Coast Guard catching them at sea once in a while but they still manage to come over.

can be more direct. At times, talking "Possitive" with a "negative" meaning can be more effective. It`s something that most members of this board catch on to very easily just by reading others comments. So be careful what you read. :)
I would`nt worry about it. just don`t raise your voice, that prohibited here.
Mkfarnam,
Thanks for the info and I’ve made a note ‘not to yell’, even though I’m a female and it’s innately a characteristic of my species. Heh
